Last week, I was delighted to be named Cotswolds Close-Up Magician of the Year — the result of a judged competition led by Steve Knibbs of BBC Points West.

The contest has been running for more than forty years, and draws performers from across the region, so to emerge at the top is a real honour and I’m very grateful.

It also arrives at a time of professional change for me, as I step fully into life as a professional magician.
