This week has been a real test for me emotionally. I had a lot of deep thoughts and analysis about my career so far and truthfully I feel my efforts are still not valued how they should be. I ask myself what else I gotta do but I think I realised it’s nothing do with me I cannot be responsible for how ppl view me or my art I just have to respectfully walk away when I feel my value isn’t appreciated. It’s not easy when you feel the hours invested are still getting you treated like you started yday, but such is my life I guess! The mysteries of this industry will continue to baffle me 🤷🏾♀️
Regardless had a fab end to the week watching my heroes shell it down and it reminded me about their walks and how long it’s taken some of them to get their deserved respect. grime will forever be Goated and a reason why I’m here. I cherish that. 🖤

After hearing the amazing vibes this weekend. Had to pull this one out!
For ppl who may not know, I have always played everything but I found my style now I guess leans on heavier/ faster stuff however I’ll always remain versatile and my b2b with @jubamusicldn earlier this year allowed me to venture back to earlier TJ. I have been slowly trying to find ways to get back to incorporating these styles into my heavier sets which often means me speeding them up I guess lol Anyway we love when a blend just comes together!

Another one of my favourite long blends unsuspectedly came together perfectly! An idea of what an MC would sound like on another genre, I’m not exactly sure what genre the other track is?
I saw a tweet recently that talked about UK MCs being the most versatile as they have training spitting over all sorts of genres such as garage, jungle, dnb etc and most recently we’ve seen more MCs over techno.
I wonder if there are any other genres that are yet to be explored… if so what ones ?

135bpm to 170bpm
Looped a key vocal part in the track slowed down to 85bpm (Half Time)
Then mixed in Jungle track, cutting in just to alternate sound. Used reverse on the loop again to make it more interesting.
I don't play this music all the time but nice to experiment with at home. Hope it helps someone ✌🏾️
