It was an absolute pleasure and a privilege to work with the British Embassy and Hyper Voltage for the ‘Beers and Britpop’ event in Mexico City. 🇲🇽

The event marked something truly special for us at Ridiculous; bridging cultures and forging connections through the universal language of music - something we are excited to continue building upon with new partnerships unfolding between the UK and Mexico.

Huge thanks to Xicpok, the British Embassy and Hyper Voltage for helping us facilitate this fantastic night, bringing together people in the creative industries. We are excited to explore many more innovative collaborations in the coming months!

📣 Exciting announcement! 📣 Are you an artist heading to SXSW this year? Read on for your chance to perform at the Ridiculous Boat Party ⛴️

On Monday 11th of March 2024, we return in to Austin, Texas to host our Ridiculous Boat Party. We’re looking for one emerging artist to join our line-up and perform a 30-minute set on board a VIP sunset sailing on Ladybird Lake.

This was a HUGE success last year - with performances from Red Rum Club, Natalie Shay and Ulysses Wells! With an audience of 100 hand-picked music industry guests, it's a great opportunity to get your music heard by the right people.

🛑 IMPORTANT ENTRY CRITERIA:

Artists applying MUST meet the following requirements:

🎶 Artists must already be confirmed to play at SXSW or be on the waitlist for an official SXSW performance slot.
🎫 Artists must be US residents OR have an ESTA / Visa to play at this event.

Please note: This is an unpaid showcase performance opportunity, and we cannot cover any travel or accommodation costs.

Submissions will close on Thursday 22nd of February at 9pm - good luck! 🤞

2024 is starting with this exciting new partnership!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re working with Serbia on international artist management outside of Mexico!

We first met Serbia two years ago and have collaborated with them several times, so it’s great to formally partner with them to oversee and drive their music careers outside of their home country 🤘

It’s been a busy few weeks for team Ridiculous! We’ve just wrapped up a fortnight in CDMX and Monterrey with Cassia and our friends at Amplead where we attended Festival Corona Capital and MIMEC's New Media MTY.

Huge thanks goes to everyone involved with making this an amazing trip for our visitors from the UK - we’re looking forward to seeing new collaborations develop following on from their time in Mexico! 🇲🇽

🔊Isle of Wight festival announcement!

We’re delighted to invite The Manatees to perform on the Platform One stage at the Isle of Wight Festival!

Hailing from a sleepy town on the south coast of England, The Manatees combine hip-hop samples, funk inspired bass lines, thrashing guitars and candid lyrics to carve out their own soundscape within modern rock. Taking influence from Jungle, Wolf Alice and The Strokes, the Manatees have caught the attention and support from BBC Radio 6 Music and Radio X.

We’re excited to announce that we’re working with the great guys over at Platform One who are once again hosting a stage in the main arena at the Isle of Wight Festival!

We have ONE slot up for grabs on Saturday 17 June and want to hear from YOU if you want to play!

As well as getting to perform at this iconic festival, you’ll get weekend camping tickets so you can soak up the festival vibes. (Please note that travel isn’t included and this festival is on an island 🏝️ !)

What a night at Strings Bar & Venue - Isle of Wight! 🙌 We just wanted to say a huge congratulations to The Optimists, who will be opening the main stage of the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday this year. Alongside the main stage slot, the band have also won a headline show at Strings Bar & Venue - Isle Of Wight, a day of recording with Empire Sound, and a post-festival marketing strategy courtesy of Ridiculous Biz! Well done to all of the acts (who performed superbly), but our panel of judges could only choose one. Thanks to all who came out to support local music 👏.

We’re excited to be part of judging panel that selects an artist to play on the Isle of Wight Festival main stage!

This Saturday sees the Wight Noize finalists performing a live showcase in front of a judging panel, where one lucky act will be chosen to open the Sunday of this year's Isle of Wight Festival 🤩. Our judges this year consist of Rob and Jim Homes of Empire Sound, Jessica Paine of Ridiculous Biz, and the owner of Strings Bar & Venue - Isle of Wight, Claydon Connor. Come and support the contending performers if you can; doors at 7:00pm, £5 entry (cash only please), 16+ event. Wishing all the best to Rhirhi, Obscure Colours, Now Only, The Optimists, Jaded, Big T and Jolliffe Music 👏
