Barbie, Oppenheimer, Haunted Mansion, Elemental, Joy Ride, Blue Beetle, Red White & Royal Blue plus the 20th Anniversary of VUE Cinemas made July an incredible month for cinema in the UK and globally. Limited Edition are so proud to have supported our wonderful clients in the technical design and delivery of each production. From the smallest photocall to the monster of ‘Barbenheimer’, super proud of the team for delivering so many events in such a tight timescale. A bit of August downtime before the autumn release season is upon us. There’s some biggies on the way, can’t wait to share…..

The Olivier Awards mean one thing….It must be spring!

For some companies it’s the Boat Race for others it’s the London Marathon, for Limited Edition spring means the Laurence Olivier Awards and our annual outing to the Royal Albert Hall.

Working for the fabulous team at the Society of London Theatre, LEE provided production management of the ‘green’ carpet, design & supply of a full lighting package, site power distribution plus multiple branding structures.

Huge thanks to all the staff at the RAH, over the years we have done countless large scale events on the steps and Prince Consort Road, every time we return we are made to feel supremely welcome and supported every step of the way!

As always as massive thank you to all our crew and suppliers, especially Roger from ‘Wow Grass’ who provided over 450sqm of real grass to create a 100% sustainable green carpet. The Yorkshire weather was not kind to our grass in the lead up to the event, multiple days of heavy rain meant all the grass had to be dried in poly tunnels before shipping to site. Roger, you’re a legend!

To finish off last weeks event for the new release of Dungeons and Dragons, we are providing some photographic lighting for a photoshoot. Using the IP-rated Prolights Studio Cob, we assisted the official photographers to capture the iconic shot of the cast in front of Tower Bridge. However, the weather has a different plan as our crew is finding out… 🌧 🌧

A cold and rainy evening in London’s Leicester Sq couldn’t dampen the spirits of the crowds who turned out on mass to welcome the cast of the ‘oh so cool’ John Wick Chapter 4 the next iteration of Lionsgate Film’s global franchise. Limited Edition designed and supplied a large technical package including Layher support structures, LED screens, lighting and staging. Already looking forward to the next chapter!

76th British Academy Film Awards… Done! Limited Edition Events were delighted to be asked to provide design, technical management and delivery of a comprehensive lighting and rigging package for this years event at the Royal Festival Hall. In the presence of The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Kent, the film industry gathered for its annual night of reflection, praise and fabulous fashion. A new venue this year proved challenges, but with a great team led by the unshakeable Richard Godin, everything went to plan. After the misery of Covid, the British Film Industry was once again a Shining beacon of light. Well done to all involved.

WOW! What a week…. Ant-Man Multi Media, Creed 3 European Premiere, Creed 3 Media Event, Ant-Man Premiere, BAFTA nominee dinner and the 76th British Academy Film Awards Red Carpet… All accomplished in 6 days!

For those of you who love numbers….

We used 885 lighting fixtures, an impressive 15.4kms of cable, and plugged them into 60 power distros, all controlled by six lighting desks.

But that's not all!

We rigged a total of 85m of Layher scaffolding across multiple structures, which required a massive 24,000kg of ballast to ensure stability.

We also installed 108sqm of screen, built a stage, a boxing ring and illuminated a mirror room.

All of which were transported by 23 trucks and vans.

Massive thanks to all the team, suppliers and clients. A truly epic week!
