Recent projects includes the creation of floral displays for launch of BBC Blue Planet II, One Planet: Seven Worlds and new Natural History Programme, at M&S Arena, Liverpool 2017, 2019 and 2020; The Cultivar Residency, sponsored by The Museum of the Flat Earth, Fogo Island, ‘Adventitious Routes and Rhizomes’ exploring political displacement with Amy Ash. Exhibitions include display of new hanging

floral tapestries at Merry - Go- Round group exhibition, JGM Gallery and Glass Cloud Gallery, London (2020) Floral Heraldry at PEER GALLERY, London (2017) and Go Figure at Cob Gallery, London (2014). She was nominated for the ZF Kunststiftung Scholarship, Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen, Germany (2015).

Floral art from the heart ❤️

Delighted to be going back to Japan in just over a week to collaborate with bamboo studio in creation of flowers for a design by @13.akt for Awaji Flower Festival and continue to explore Japanese design in connection to nature. We will be working at a special site designed by architect Tadao Ando called Awaji Yumebutai or Awaji Island Design and I will share more on the history of the place and design shortly.

Saying a fond goodbye to flowers for LUrVe ceremonies and big thanks to all couples encountered including dear friends / neighbours and selection of glorious generous encounters with strangers in trust and preparation for day 🫶

Whilst I think of private ceremony work as being a more useful aspect of floristry eg. to help people to mark big 💓moments in their lives, I’m realising more and more a dedication to non - flowering materials and think a big grass clump may be less sought after by many! Happy to be focussing in on mixed media arts and installations

More trees in galleries!

Loved seeing this all, at an advanced state of change / decay towards end of exhibition and comparing images with friends as saw it all fresh. That parts of works are being composted post exhibition (that closed two weeks ago) is also refreshing. Back into the cycle!

A shining light of ephemeral yet ongoing and educative arts, also enjoyed meander through 🍎map of the education space. A circular orchard designed by artist featuring heritage variety apple trees will be planted near Faversham at Lees Court Estate. Looking forward to seeing further images of how this unfurls and hope to catch up with another exhibition / public commission and pinboard viewing of Anya‘s soon 💚

BOX ONE: Mum‘s Bag Collection

A pick n mix selection drawn and captured with friends highlighting both mundane and design fancy last week at Residency in Wandsworth .rca

As progress report - small bags only from BOX ONE have been documented with camera and await editing before being shared ⚡️Also got some beauts of Mum with half her collection, so stay tuned! ⚡️Last pic is the large bags which skimmed off the surface here; somehow all belong in the first box too and are yet to be documented!

Thanks to Cafe team and RCA alumni met. Been so great to share the start of this project with you alongside seeing your own unfurl. Thanks for opportunity to get cracking!!

An image of my mum, Honor Godfrey, enjoying some time with her siblings and red paper bag in the early 1970s. This bag was creditted as being one of first bags she collected and responsible therefore for fifty years of subsequent bag collection!
I‘m currently going through her bags, layered like sedimentary rock, marvelling at their beauty, connecting text to where she was and how it seems everything went in or came in an additional paper bag. No spares will be left undocumented but the full nine acrylic boxes, may not be fully photographed within ten days set aside for this mission. Rapidly changing expectations but getting cracking; see stories for progress! Please come and visit me and check out part of her collection at The NEX big thanks to for supporting via use of space for this project 😃💪📸 and for loan of camera equipment and instruction.

More on the work and passions of my mum to follow - I hope her working life will help to put this vast collection into context. This is the largest of many ephemera collections she has. My dream of documenting it and having a digital archive of images is that other artists, graphic designers, curators, collectors, would be able to explore and use it more easily. The Wollemi pine text I found in a box I was sorting out and had saved from childhood - as part of UK / AUS links - and think Eccleston Square was one of the first UK gardens to have these rare trees. Was such a pleasure to be working there alongside these; although they were not at height where I could see the noted ‘coco pop’ trunk!

Christmas 2024 and - It’s a wrap! 🎬😝🌈 Rainbow warrior wreaths and painting sale concludes this even; been a joy of shared palette 🌸🎨

I’ve really enjoyed one brush, one twig works insta chequer and look forward to sharing more over hols and biting into mixed media projects in the New Year. I’m delighted to be exhibiting in Five by Five with @__incubator__ opening January 10th from 5.30-7.30pm ✨ and on until the 10th March. The exhibition pairs five established artists with five emerging artists of their choice.
