Here’s a little selection of the fab bud vases people created with me in my bud vase one to ones this weekend at the artists open house . I loved meeting and chatting with such a great collection of warm and interesting people. So happy they had a real keenness to try something creative and they all went home with a vase they were delighted with! Another proud teacher moment…😊

I was lucky to be asked to take part in the Dulwich Festival’s Artists’ Open House… and I spent both Saturday and Sunday last weekend at 209 Friern Road, SE22. (I’ll be there again this weekend - keep an eye out for my timings!). I met so many fascinating people, chatted all things flowery and these pics are just some of the amazing bouquets and bud vases that people made with me. If you’d like to do a ‘one to one’ with me, come along this weekend! The house has the most amazing gardens, super friendly and horticulturally knowledgeable owners and two other great artists .sb.jeanne and . I hope you’ll come and visit!

Morning of day 4 at the Bloom Room. A fascinating site visit to the super friendly C J Love wholesale florists and C J Love Plants…. A tour of the greenhouses, the most enormous fridge you could imagine, a lesson in purchasing and pricing and all things business and the most hanging baskets we’d ever seen in our lives! Thank you for having us.

The students of the Bloom Room were on location at the stunning Bell House this afternoon to learn all about mechanics and dried flowers. Creating mantelpieces for the Dulwich Festival’s artists open houses this and next weekend. Amazing teamwork and fabulous creations! Do come and visit!

I visited the Chelsea Physic Garden - it’s fabulous! So interesting - all about the history of plants in medicine and green houses full of incredible plants from all over the world. In fact there are so many parts to it.
A little hidden gem tucked away in the middle of London…I can’t understand why I hadn’t been before..

I loved the planting at the Chelsea Flower Show this year - planting was soft and natural, everything swayed about under the trees in the breeze. A palette of green and white, some mauve and pops of orange geums and burgundy poppies. Most looked joyfully natural and not particularly stylised but how they manage to make a garden look like it’s been in situ for years is still utterly unfathomable to me!

It’s getting closer! It’s one week to go! 😍

If you’d like a bouquet for your Valentine, just dm me - choose from 4 sizes, 4 prices. The flowers will be seasonal, elegant and beautifully wrapped in paper - (no waste) and delivered to their ‘local’ door with a card or signed with a ? - your choice! If you’d like flowers from your Valentine, you could forward this to them! 😂

While I was out delivering my Friday flowers today, I saw this… 😱
It made really sad and quite angry -
I deliver my Friday flowers with such care, in buckets of water - straight into your arms ready to pop in your vase…..
I deliver my flowers in compostable brown paper, no wasteful boxes to store or recycle.
No binding subscription either. Just let me know by Wednesday morning for a local Friday delivery - any week during term times…

New Year proposal? 💍

Creating a bride’s wedding bouquet is a butterfly inducing, exciting and emotional ‘job’ in equal measure.
It takes time to find out exactly what a bride hopes their wedding flowers will look and feel like… Colours, textures, fave flowers, ribbons or not.
I create the bouquet standing in front of a mirror as the bride, thinking about what they will be wearing and how their bouquet will look in their photographs.
There are always butterflies as the bouquet is presented and invariably the odd tear!
Such a privilege to be part of someone’s most precious day…
