Made to order wedding veils and bridal capes

A little BTS of sewing lace appliques on to a veil, a very tedious job but needs to be done to get that finished look on point 👌

This bride is working with me to create two looks, the first is a re-work of her grandmother's veil where she will wear it in the evening as a 'party veil' (more of this transformation to come) & the second is to wear down the aisle which includes this lace to match her dress.

Can't wait to show you the end results but for now, here is a little sneaky peak into the process of stitching the lace on

Getting married is a wonderful time, a time when two people become a family, their love pulls them tighter & tighter and they can't see a world without one another.

After your wedding day, apart from the memories you only get to keep a few keepsakes. Rings, photographs, possibly a video & dress. Everything else has either been hired or borrowed or sadly won't last.

Your veil can be that one thing that can be handed down to future generations. A handmade veil just for you, can be just that, and what's even more special? A veil you get to design.

All the small things

It's nice when it's busy to stop and appreciate the small things in life.

There is all this pressure to put out on social media 'picture perfect' moments and I must say it is exhausting. I make wedding veils and love that but I am not a content creator!!

I will try my best to post interesting content but ultimately, I will be showing works in progress, happy brides and finished products.

Life is way to busy to worry about who has or hasn't 'liked' or 'commented' on a post.

So here is a picture of Jinkx, a ruffle edged veil full of fun. She can be found on my site and would be perfect for a bride who wants to step away from tradition whilst still being bridal.

This is a 60 year old veil!

My bride asked if I can bring her back to life as this is her grandma's veil and what a lovely gesture it is to be able to wear her!

She needs a wash, trim and a restyle but my oh my she is lovely. It's quite impressive that she is in the condition she is after 60 years and what an honour it is to work with her.

This veil is a four layer (yep, four layer) finger tip, ivory tulle veil with an attached head piece which the bride wants to remove so she can reuse for jewellery.

The plan was to reduce the volume and give her some love and new comb BUT after a Design Call with my bride we may be going down a different route and maybe totally transforming her... Watch this space

Working on a custom order this week for a lovely bride getting married in October.

Together we came up with a design that includes A LOT of lace appliques (over 12 meters worth), crystals & custom embroidery

She is 3 meters wide and 3 m long so is a beautiful beast of a veil but will look so nice with her Stella York dress she brought from the lovely ladies at

I am nearly done with the lace, half done the embroidery & then it's the crystals, so in summary still a lot to do!

I love love love black and white photographs! I think they show the details so much better than colour (when it comes to my veils that is as those florals you are about to see are just 🔥)

The embroidered leaf edging is shown so clearly in the first pic, look out for it as you scroll along.
