*Thames clipper boat ride passing Westminster, embankment, London eye & The Tower of London
*Visit to London’s west end including- Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and a walk up the Mall to see Buckingham palace

There will be free time for you to relax & rest your feet, or go off and explore for an hour or so- maybe indulge in some retail therapy!
There will be ample opportunities for you to grab a bit to eat at lunch time- this is the only meal not provided but the Morpeth arms has a brilliant bar menu & on Saturday you have Leicester square which has everything from Sainsbury’s, Pizza places, KFC, McDonald’s, to TGI’s and other chain restaurants!

We will also be going at a pace that i think is suitable, the walk up the mall to see Buckingham palace will be optional- we have to walk back down to Trafalgar square to leave for Hampstead & meet up with guests who choose not to walk. Those guests can wait at one of the many pubs/cafes at Trafalgar Square while the Mall walk is being done. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oak raven guests….
I am busy planning some lovely little witchy activities for us to do ❤️✨🧙
These can often be my most favourite part of any weekend we do, particularly at Oak raven as we have built such a connection & have the ancient witchcraft roots surrounding us- magic is ALWAYS in the air!✨
I’m also planning your dinners & prepping breakfast plans as per your personal choices & requirements.
This is by far my own & I know the teams favourite location to host a weekend for our guests. The vibe is cosy & relaxed, magical coloured fires and witchcraft rituals, all learning together, home cooked food, the odd tarot or tea leaf readings going on…. And that’s before our ghost hunts even come in to play.
It’s always about the little touches & special care & attention from the team that makes this weekend so memorable & we are alllllll about the memory making!

Everyone at Twilight would like to say thank you to all the amazing people we have met this year on our events, we have made some beautiful memories that we will all cherish forever I’m sure.
2023 has been another year of wonderful memories made, learning as always about the paranormal journey we are all on.
We have been to some brilliant, beautiful & creepy places & created very special friendships with venue owners, some now feeling like family.
That’s the same with our guests. We meet so many of you over the weekends throughout the year, some becoming friends & some ending up another member of the Twilight family. No matter how often we see some of you, time is irrelevant when we do meet up for another spooky evening, a brilliant time always ensues.
Twilight has always been so much more than a being a ghost hunt event- it has always been based on making things special for people, making people laugh & have fun, watching guests make friends, seeing people who come alone and find a whole friendship circle is beautiful to me. It’s about making memories & so much more. Twilight events have created life long bonds for people & life long memories, for that, I’m extremely grateful & continue to be, ALWAYS.

However, we do like a good scare and I’m also very grateful for the incredible moments that have been utterly unexplainable & sometimes terrifying, that we have experienced this year. Our fascination with the paranormal, spiritual, other worldly realm & all that comes with it, continues all the more. 👻❤️ The investigating continues….

ST ANTHONYS WELL- Mitcheldean
We always take our guests on a short walk from Oak raven in to the forest to visit this historic sight.
The well is said to heal skin deseases and sore eyes. To do this it is necessary to visit the well nine times at sunrise during May and wash the skin. Most likely the well was a ritual site for a very long period of time. In the area around the spring prehistoric flint implements have been found, also Roman and Iron Age artifacts.

St Anthony lived in the 4th century and was canonised on January 17. He was an Egyptian of Christian parentage. His steadiness of temper and purity of soul, is second only to his miracles associated with water.
St Anthony's Well is covered by a square stone basin, presumably for baptising the converted. There are two other springs, to the north and the south about 50 m apart. The springs issue from quartz-conglomerates of the Upper Old Red Sandstone near the foot of a steep hill which is crowned with Carboniferous Limestone. The yield was 200,000 gallons a day in 1922 [Richardson p 34]. It was also noted that pumping at Cinderford Waterworks, Greenbottom affects the yield at St Anthony's Well

Origins of the well
It is likely that the well was associated with Flaxley Abbey founded in 1148, but there is no evidence for this association. Indeed the first reference appears to be as St. Anthonyes Well in 1669 and is marked on the 1881 OS map. Beyond this no firm history is known other than that recorded in topographical works above. Yet its old mossy stone work and clear water speak volumes of its great age. St Anthony’s feast day was in December I am sure the water than is colder than ever!

The hotel takes its name from an ancient defensive earthwork which runs for three miles from Pinner Hill to Bentley Priory and which dates back to Roman times.

From 1937 to 1962 as a rehabilitation centre initially during the Second World War for women suffering from tuberculosis although after the war male patients were also admitted for rehabilitation. Recently, it has emerged that the Grim’s D**e was used for secret military work during the Second World War. Details of this work remain classified until the 2040’s but it is believed that the house was used to examine captured German machinery and parts of shot down aircraft which were analysed by Allied scientists from Bletchley Park. This secret work was so important to the war effort that it is thought that both Winston Churchill and General Eisenhower visited the house.
The house is most famous for its former resident Mr William Gilbert, one half of Gilbert & Sullivan operas. Sir Gilbert lived here with his wife Lady Gilbert, her attentions focused on the beautiful rose gardens that surround the hotel.

This beautiful afternoon includes a full afternoon tea served by the wonderful staff at the Grimsdyke- delicious cakes & scones and savoury bites! A tarot or tea leaf reading and there will be several seances using our paranormal equipment 👻

Built in 1845 in Pimlico, The Morpeth served the prison guards of Millbank penitentiary and became a holding facility for prisoners awaiting deportation to Australia. The cells are still beneath the pub today and are rumoured to have secret tunnels that prisoners used to escape captivity. The Morpeth is a working pub, which overlooks the impressive & intimidating MI6 building on the north bank of the river, not far from Westminster.

Enjoy a beautiful meal at the pub followed by a tour & ghost hunt of the cells below & then the pub after closing time….. 🕰️ 👀👻

Our last evening here was absolutely terrifying for a couple of us, hearing what sounded like an iron gate being swung shut and banged infront of us… only there was nothing there!!👀😨😱
Genuinely couldn’t explain it. We are very excited to see if we can experience more in the cells in January!

What a fantastic group of people this evening!!
Beautiful energy from our guests!
The activity in the cells & throughout the pub was off the scale this evening… I am still trying to make sense and process the sound of metal doors screeching and slamming shut and the feeling of something rushing toward me…. Absolutely astonishing.
Wonderful food and wonderful service from our amazing friends at The Morpeth arms ❤️ as always!!!!

Well, full write up will eventually be added on here,after some sleep! Once the journey home is complete on the night bus!✨

Tomorrow night we will be in London, our home, dining & ghost hunting the cells of The Morpeth arms pub in Pimlico.

This riverside pub was originally build to serve the prison wardens of Millbank penitentiary, a prison where the Tate now stands (amongst other buildings). It is known as one of London’s most haunted pubs as the cells below where used to hold prisoners before their deportation to Australia. It is believed some of these prisoners died in a bid to escape by making tunnels. Strange occurrences happen in the cells & the pub itself where we will later investigate after closing.

We have had some brilliant evenings here, it is always a warm welcome from the staff, who couldn’t do more for us!
The perfect spooky London Christmas night out!

This will be Twilights final event of 2024 & we can’t wait to welcome our guests tomorrow evening! 👻👻🎄🎄

The cell’s beneath where once holding cells for prisoners from Millbank penitentiary, now where the Tate museum stands. These prisoners would await on cells before walking down to the Thames and boarding ships taking them to Australia.
After enjoying a delicious meal in the pub, we will take a short tour across the road and down to the Tate museum, for some brief history to understand what life at that time was like.
We have had some astounding little moments over the past year or so here and LOVE this special famously haunted, historic London location.

Last night for Halloween, the cells of the Morpeth arms where VERY active. The doll in the chair is wrapped in sensor lights, you have to be within 2ft for them to light up. We had her on the chair at the back of a cell & whilst listening to our spirit box on the main walk way, the lights lit up!!!!!! And for a second time!!!!! Absolutely amazing!
