Yesterday my mind began to spiral negatively. I was falling down a rabbit hole and I couldn’t pull myself out.
It’s been one hell of a week and my life in general and my mental health is taking a hit. Over and over again. This week has been relentless.
(F*ck you, Mercury. Enough of this retrograde).
I had a client message me this morning basically asking if I was ok because I’d made a mistake and she knows that’s not like me.
It isn’t like me. But like every other human on this Earth I’m not immune from mental health issues and feeling things when things go wrong. So I was honest and explained what was going on. She instantly understood and we decided I should just chill for a few days.
I often get laughed at (in a friendly way) because I have “breathe” in my diary, with an alarm, every day at 10am and 4pm. Sometimes if I’m screen sharing, it’ll pop up on Zooms and people always ask if my computer just reminded me to breathe.
Yes. Yes it did. 💨
⏰ That 10am alarm pulled me out of my rabbit hole of darkness and pulled me back to reality. Gave a me a minute to stop and think positively and to breathe.
Breathing, for 99.9% of humans, is automatic. We don’t think about it. It’s something our body does and we don’t need to concern ourselves with it. But conscious breathing is so important.
I’m actually learning how to breathe again. After C0V1D my diaphragm was busted and I’m having physio every week (and practicing daily) to find my breath again.
It’s weird. Breathing isn’t even thought about by most people yet it is our life source, our tool to calm emotions, a way to escape from negativity. I’m glad I have my little reminders to breathe because some days, even when my body is doing its job, it can still feel like I’m suffocating and remembering to breathe is a very powerful tool I use to help me stay positive, focused, calm and alive. 🧘♀️

Cashless Payments 💰
Cashless Payments 💰
I’m not one to carry cash as a rule, but it occurred to me recently that lots of people still do.
The highstreet shops, and businesses in general, are slowly changing to cashless and it’s effecting people in a negative way.
People who don’t want to carry cards, or prefer cash transactions, are being limited due to change in society.
Homeless people, who rely on cash donations on a daily basis, could go hungry, if cash is completely eradicated.
Now, as I said, I’m generally on team cashless but if that’s the only option we have in the future, that’s going to effect thousands, if not millions, of people.
How do you stand and what are your thoughts on cashless payments becoming our only form of payment transactions?

If you've got something hard to say, get to the point. You can fluff it up afterwards.
As depression and anxiety take over our society at an alarming rate, it is more important than ever for us to get to the point. Being open and honest quickly can really help people who are struggling mentally.
The more we beat around the bush, the more the energy is going to become negative and the anxiety is going to rise.
Hit people with the truth quickly and have the solutions, help and support they need for after.
#ThursdayThoughts
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.
Now, I’m no Angel. I’ve blown out social gatherings for work. I’ve cancelled on friends and family when I prioritised work over “fun time”. But I’m pretty sure I’ve never done anything worse than that. I’ve never sold my friends or business partners out for money. I’ve been honest if I’ve had to let suppliers go. I’ve never trod on someone else to get out of the water when we’re both drowning.
Needs must and all that. But after doing a recent training course that involved DEEP digging into my values I found that business and money really is low on my list. Business wasn’t even that far up the list. It’s helped me really evaluate my life and things I do. What I want in my life and what really matters, in the grand scheme of things.
This was then cemented in when I had a weekend with one of my oldest and best friends at the weekend.
Friends > Dividends.
Good, bad, and ugly… I’ll take friends.
Your moods and mental health.
Are you in a bad mood right now? I am.
It doesn't matter how much I try to sleep (lol), meditate, look after myself, am productive at work, I am still a miserable ar$eh*le of late.
I try my best to be kind to people but I'm just full of rage right now.
So, here is what I'm going to do. At 4pm today I'm going to switch off completely from the world. I'm going to cocoon myself and hopefully by Monday I'll be ready to a beautiful social butterfly. Well as much as an introvert can be a social butterfly.
If you're feeling cr*p then you are not alone. Just know that. It's ok to speak out and ask people for help. You've got this. We've got this.
What would be your best tips for getting out of a 'mood'? I'd love to hear how everyone is coping too.

In his own words, this is what Todd thinks of Miss Make It Happen.
