🇲🇺 Here are a few of the stunning beaches on the island of Mauritius

So many great spots dotted around the island, but these are a few favourites that we definitely recommend you visiting if you get the chance!

1) Mont Choisy Beach - Located in the North West of the Island. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the horizon when plotting up further down the left of the beach. Try to keep off the tourist tracks for the most authentic experience with the locals.

2) Grand Baie - Again in the North, this place is full of charm. The ocean effortlessly blends into the town, with so many restaurants/bars for you to enjoy along the coast with stunning views of the ocean. This is also the start destination for many boat tours and excursions out to other islands where you can enjoy sunsets and snorkelling. Plenty of recommendations if you want to ask!

3) Flic-en-Flac - Located on the West coast, this beach is home to many hotels and resorts. The area has more of a touristy feel with plenty to keep you busy in between trips to the beach. Just watch out for the pieces of coral that may have washed up ashore, it’s like stepping on Lego!

4) Pereybere - Up on the North of the island. This is the locals favourite catering mainly to families and groups. There’s a really peaceful feeling here, whether you’re plotted up listening to the locals play their music or joining in for a game of pétanque. Plenty of food stalls to enjoy local fruits like lychees; a lot of fond memories here from as young as age 5.
