Here's the preparatory drawing for the painting I posted last week.

As mentioned before, I use charcoal sometimes as an . It allows me to workout the value very fast, I can move the charcoal almost endlessly, it maintain the surface smooth, and it's super fun 🙃

Preparatory for a commissioned painting.

I mostly start a painting from a monochrome , and I often use charcoal in order to do that. I have spent many years drawing and engraving in monochrome, and maybe this is the reason why I find it easier to let my imagination run free with a pencil or a stick in my hand.

They said the world of fantasy is in black and white 🐈‍⬛

Anyway, I am 99% sure in my next exhibition (2025) I will have at least one stand alone charcoal., but is not this one, this is a full colour painting that I will post after 🧏‍♂️🤷‍♀️👨‍🌾
