A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to my incredible Godchildren. David made the long trip all the way from his university in Leicester to spend the day with me, and Sabreena took the day off work and came all the way from Slough. I am so thankful for both of you! 🙏🏾❤️

We first met up for tea, cake, and a round of 📸, then headed out to see , which was absolutely fab! 💚✨ I finished the afternoon by taking them to see the dazzling lights on Oxford Street. 💡🇬🇧

Even though my sibling was in Paris for work 🇫🇷, they never disappoint! My flowers 💐 and gift 🎁 were waiting right outside my door when I got home.

A big shout-out to my cousin Sattu for cooking and bringing over my favourite Sierra Leone dish—cassava leaf—in the evening. 🇸🇱😋 And to my friend Alise, whose gift was my absolute favourite: Barbara O'Neil's Sustain Me! 📚😭 That is a huge, brilliant treat!

And of course, thank you to all my social media supporters, fans, and DJs for their best wishes. 🎧

I truly feel loved, appreciated, and blessed. ✨💖

Cheers to another year of more growth, fun, love, peace, contentment, success, and laughter! Let's go! 🚀🥂

Hello everyone! How is the month treating you so far? 👋

This is officially my favorite week because my birthday is this Friday, and I truly can't wait to celebrate! 🥳 As my number one love language is Gifts, I'm especially looking forward to that (hint, hint! 😉🎁).

Speaking of things I'm looking forward to, as promised, here is Part 3 of 5 of my trip to Paris! 🏰✨ This segment is still focused on the Walt Disney Studios Park, which, as I mentioned before, genuinely felt like walking onto a live movie set. We saw everything from Frozen ❄️ to classic Storybook Characters.

And speaking of Toy Story, who else is hyped for Toy Story 5?! I saw the trailer last week, and it looks incredible—I'm counting down the days. 🚀👽

But first, I'm getting ready to head to the South Bank tomorrow afternoon to DJ a corporate event. Let's go! 🎧🌃

What a magical day at the John Lewis & Partners Christmas Pop-Up! 🤩 The legend Alison Limerick graced the stage at circus John lewis Circus and gave an incredible performance of her iconic track, "Where Love Is" (yes, that's the song featured in the new 2025 John Lewis Christmas advert! ✨).

I was there supporting my amazing we run the world femaily sister, Ama, who absolutely crushed her DJ set! 🎧 If you missed the vibe today or yesterday at Peter Jones Sloane Square, don't worry!

Catch the festive fun, free of charge, next Thursday (Nov 13th) at John Lewis Bluewater from 5-9 PM. Come down if you're local!

Our Story

My name is DJ China L’One, the Founder and CEO of the first official Female DJ in the world, the now, renowned We Run the World Female DJ Agency.

I was born in Sierra Leone; West Africa and came to the UK at the age of 13 to join my Mother. At the age of 14 my mother was sadly diagnosed with schizophrenia so both myself and my stepfather helped look after my younger brother James who was 1 years old.

As a child, I suffered from stuttering which was a struggle for me as my ambition was to enter the performing arts industry as an actress. At the age of 16, I decided I had to do something about it, so I got into self-development, by reading books to help me conquer my fear. Also, at this age I was then accepted at the Italia Conti School in Wimbledon where I would go in every Saturday to practice performing arts - dancing, singing and acting.

In the 90s, I became a poet as a therapy to channel and to help me deal with my mums’ mental illness, my stuttering and my confidence. I have written lots of poems and performed poetry slam all over London where I have won various poetry competitions. One of my poem titles ‘Success’ won for Black History Month 2002 at Croydon College, where I was attending. I was then called by the principal officer of Croydon college, asking me if I could recite it for the Graduators of 2002. Because of my stammering, I told the principal I might be too nervous knowing there would be hundreds of people there. So, every day after college, I would practice but eventually I kindly ask the team if I could pre-record it and mime it on the day. On the day, I did mime it and to this day, everyone that attended that graduation thought I’d performed the poem live. As some many graduate and families came up to me saying, that my poem ‘Success’ was touching and made them cry. Performing poetry slam really did helped me with my stammering. My poem, “When you are Natural, you can never be Ugly”, was used as a drama sketch for young people and was performed at the Brixton art gallery.
