I was thrilled to be asked to cater once again for the Mountain family who had a wonderful get together today at the beautiful St Andrews church in Beesby.
Mr Mountain told me his family were always meeting up at sad occasions lately so they decided to get family together for a happy one.

It was the second of today’s buffets, the first delivered to Louth celebrating a 60th birthday.

Our party menus are designed to make celebrating an occasion so easy for you, we deliver ready to go on our own platters, so all you do is place straight on your table. No work or worry.

Thank you to everyone who came to last nights pudding club.
On the menu was celery, onion and potato ( it was really delicious) topped with a cheesey croustard and served with olive bread, cranberry and cashew bread and cheese boule.
The three summery desserts were
Firstly a deconstructed strawberry flan in a jar.
Pudding number two was carrot cake with pouring cream
And our final dessert was lemon mousse.
Followed by tea and coffee and our little fun quiz.

I forgot to get photos of everything, so only got the one below😜

Loads of preparation goes into creating a grazing table. A couple of hours in my kitchen chopping, cutting, arranging and getting everything together, then load up Bertie ( my lovely little van), then drive to the venue, in this case to Rachel’s home to set up for her 70th birthday. And then the creative bit, arranging everything until I have my finished table.
This table was for 15 people and costs just £12.50 person ( the cake platter was purchased as an extra)
Rachel’s husband also ordered her a 70 cheesecake too.

Yesterday was an exciting day at Fiddley Diddley Catering Services HQ
It was a very early start getting ready for Danielle’s wedding. 90 afternoon tea boxes filled to the brim with afternoon tea delights. Danielle was so kind giving me permission to take a few pictures of the gorgeous venue, a beautiful teepee with fairy lights and beautiful tablescapes.

A short time later we were delivering to Lauren’s Hen party at a lovely cabin in Kenwick park. The same thing afternoon tea boxes for 15 ladies who were all enjoying a pamper session and a glass of fizz.

As always I’m beyond grateful and so proud to be trusted with food for these special occasions, and all of my award winning boxes were prepared and packed in my 5⭐️rated kitchen and delivered in Bertie ( the butty box) my lovely little van🥰

I was so happy to be asked to be a guest judge of the papercraft section for the National Federation of Women’s Institutes at this year’s Lincolnshire show.
This years theme was ABBA and my section was a wedding invitation entitled I do, I do, I do.
It was a tough decision as there were a few really lovely entries but I chose an open out invitation featuring parchment craft plus a very clever folded insert.
Second place was actually a lovely lady I’ve met and taught at my craft studio, Gill Pursey is from the Tetney branch of the WI (obviously I didn’t know at the time of judging)so that was a nice surprise and a beautiful quilled invitation too.

My sister Mel was also judging, the almond cake section, so it was nice to go together and we had a very lovely complimentary ham salad and new potatoes lunch with strawberries and cream for dessert.

On the same day I delivered the flower arrangements and buttonholes commissioned by Woldmarsh Producers Ltd in Louth , who also asked me to cater for them with 150 grazing boxes over the two days plus bee themed cupcakes too. I must say I was really pleased with the flowers and food I presented. 🥰

It’s been a very Lincolnshire show themed week at Fiddley Diddley and a couple of work through the night sessions🤣

HAPPY FATHERS DAY
What a day, I’m absolutely exhausted tonight but so very proud of all we have accomplished.
Amy, Keith and I were up really early, Amy and I baking and kitchen prep and Keithy cleaning the van ( Bertie the butty box) and shopping for last minute groceries.
A finger buffet for Julie for 14 people to celebrate an 80th along with an 80 cheesecake stack cake and then we started the prep for 50 lunch bags for the staff and artists at this years SO festival in Mablethorpe.
Honestly it was a wonderful sight to see all the lunch bags lined up in the van and I was that proud of us.
Off I went to deliver the lunches to the beach huts at Mablethorpe followed out of the drive by Keith deliverering in the “catering car” to Holton Le Clay with the buffet.
It was a very quick delivery as I had to be back to start all the Father’s Day afternoon tea boxes for the afternoon delivery.

I’m so grateful to everyone who ordered from Fiddley Diddley Catering Services I am so thankful for each and every order x
I couldn’t do it without Amy tho she’s so talented and she’s such a hard worker for us x

My first wreath class in the studio Christmas wreath making !
12 luxury traditional door wreaths created whilst listening to Christmas music and consuming the most wonderful Christmas themed chocolate cake🤩with a lovely cuppa.
It’s always a joy when I see the satisfaction on my visitors faces as they leave clutching their treasure.
Thank you all for a really lovely afternoon.

Then I hop footed it to fulstow to drop a finger buffet for 20people for Melissa’s 40th birthday 😊🎂❤️

A roundup of this week in photos
Monday was really rewarding when I had a Christmas visit from Nth Somercotes textile group who came for a mixed media Christmas card making class. Amy made the most wonderful chocolate cake decorated with gingerbread men and snowflakes.
With the help of Amy, Melanie and Keith we managed to pull off a fabulous buffet for 70 people for a local funeral wake, it was a tall order being an early funeral but we managed it and I’ve had such wonderful comments.
Tuesday was a catch up day and I managed to deep clean the studio and my catering kitchen.
Wednesday I welcomed Helen to be a guest demonstrator at the studio. She showed us all how to make a beautiful beaded bracelet and she also made everyone matching earrings as a little surprise gift, Almond and cherry Bakewell scones were served.
Thursday Amy and I had breakfast at Woodthorpe garden centre ( our annual trip to look at the Christmas decorations) followed by a lovely nails treat from Holly at Beauty & Holistic’s at The Old Vicarage
Yesterday we created a buffet for 20 people for Helen and Danny’s wedding. Beautiful platters of sandwiches and homemade sausage rolls and quiche with one of my amazing grazing platters and a tray of our award winning cakes.
Well it was a busy week for sure, next week I’m looking forward to my first Christmas wreath making class at the Axe and Cleaver tomorrow evening, my friends from Alford craft group are visiting for Crafternoon tea and I have several small buffets and platters to prepare.

Another sad occasion today, a funeral for 25 people delivered to Cleethorpes. These photos were taken in my kitchen (before covering for delivery )This was some of the funeral wake menu, my favourite part is dressing everything to make it look appetising.

CAUTION: LONG POST FULL OF LOVE❤️
It’s been another of those very rewarding days today. At these times having no sleep to make sure everything is as it’s freshest pays off with wonderful comments.

Firstly a massive thank you to my sister Mel who left her own very busy business day to help me with mine., I couldn’t have managed today without her and she was fab! 🥰❤️🙏

I had had a booking from my friends from the textile group at Nth Somercotes back in the summer,who came this morning for their annual Christmas session at the studio ( photos below)
Secret Santa, the most beautiful Christmas cake, thanks to Amy, and a crafty morning making mixed media Christmas cards.
A very special thank you for my surprise secret Santa gift ( homemade by one of the ladies) I will treasure it and keep always🥰

Now lots of work, time and effort goes into Fiddley Diddley craft workshops so this alone was a big thing but I just couldn’t say no to catering for a funeral also this morning at Great Carlton when I found out that the lady that passed away has specifically asked that I catered for her funeral😞this touched my heart, she had written my name on an envelope whilst very poorly ❤️ so I pulled out all stops and Keithy, Mel, Amy and I ( Amy and I with no sleep) made sure her funeral food was the absolute BEST

What a day! Proud yes but very very tired.
Thank you to the Mountain family for trusting me with this important occasion.

So thrilled with the studio this evening, a 50th birthday grazing party. It looked absolutely beautiful with twinkling lights and decorations, so warm and inviting.
A beautiful grazing table, full of wonderful treats and delights.
A “naked” style berries and flowers birthday cake, mini trifles and mini strawberry cheesecake for afters.
