This was for the family of teenager Dylan Vallely, tragically killed in a car accident in October.
Hearing how the locals talk about who Dylan was as a person really touched my heart.
They were so distraught at the news that The cosy bar closed for a full week as they just couldn’t face it.
Wanting to be of any kind of solace to the family, the owner Bonzo, wanted to make this a show stopping display and fundraising day and raise as much as possible to go to the Armagh GAA club who did a-lot for the family through the worst time of their lives so they wanted to continue with this project to give back to the club.
I think you can agree we smashed it.

Picture this 🙌
My client called me up with a really unique vision.
The brief:
"I want a bumble bee themed gender real, something really waow and my idea is this, a run of activities one of which will be, a dart board with balloons on it because her dad loves darts, so we will set it up as though they think that's the reveal part.
Then for the reveal part I am thinking this...a balloon tree with three bee hives hanging from it, one each for the grandparents and one for mum, the reveal will be in one of the beehives."
I spent weeks thinking about how to execute this and have a tree sturdy enough to support three people tugging on it.
So after extensive research I decided I needed a stronger trunk than making it from balloons.
So I made one myself.

It's the simple things in life that get me excited 🥁🤣
When I got to this venue they already had nails and hooks attached for when they had their Christmas decorations up so there were many secure anchor points for me to work with.
This made me happy and here's why 👇
This saved me Time and money because I didn't have to use my own hooks and I didn't waste time installing them.
I don't know if you've noticed but whilst command hooks used to be excellent, I find they are now rubbish, as are any kind of tape I've been using, so it's been making things that bit harder when doing installs. 😤
I swear by clear adhesive hooks however I don't recommend using them on painted surfaces unless using the H method but again it's finding a good sticky tape.
Dunno what the H method is? It's one of my hacks that I teach in my One to one lessons. I'm kicking off 2023 with teaching so if you want to jump on board-shoot me a DM!

The amount of times I've caught husband's/partners expressions where you just know they aren't all the way impressed about the money they are spending on balloons.
