Every year we take on a small amount of full planning clients - who we help right from the beginning of their planning journey - we never take on more than a few as we want to be able to give every couple 100% and with such a busy coordination diary it’s really important we don’t stretch ourselves and to be frank - burn out from wedding overload!

Last month saw R & N get married at and in our role as wedding planner we brought together all their ideas to design a day that was super stylish, super chilled and loads of fun.

Another shock closure of a Kent Wedding Venue today πŸ˜”

Our thoughts go out to all the couples that have had their wedding cancelled at Lympne Castle.

If you have been affected or know anyone that has - this super special venue where we are resident coordinators has availability this summer and next.

While it isn’t a castle, Goodnestone Park is rich in history and the views are amazing - we would love to be able to help couples get excited again and to help them have the most amazing wedding day.

Goodnestone is just over 30 minutes from Lympne Castle so not too far away for anyone looking to stay as close as possible to the original plans.

And that’s not all! have designed a custom made timber framed orangery marquee (swipe πŸ‘‰ to see a photo) double Yay!!

So when you book you get a stunning listed mansion house that sleeps up to 24, exclusive access to some of the wonderful historic gardens, a number of options for the ceremony, a super special bespoke space to enjoy your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations AND us - experienced wedding coordinators celebrating 10 years in the wedding industry.

This weekend we are meeting some more couples saying I do in 2022. There will be lots of tea drinking! walk throughs of the timings and logistics, helping to finalise details and generally supporting everyone to bring together the plans after being on hold for way too long!

On this occasion L & K had been drying out some hops they really wanted to use to decorate the bar area, a few boxes of hops later and Ta Dah.β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Fortunately for one Doll, the post covid lack of smell was a bonus, for the other Doll having a face full of hops wasn't the most pleasant experience ;) β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

This photo says it all, we get stuck in from early morning to bring all the finishes touches together and get the tasks complete so that you can relax and get ready for the day ahead. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
Alot of the time, these finishing touches cost next to nothing it's the thought that goes into the details and that's what personalises your wedding day. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

By the time the guests entered hours later, the hops had aired, The Dolls had brushed ALOT of small, dried leaves from their hair and the final details were in place - just as the couple had envisaged. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Worry 1: Mud on the dress! - we have wipes in our emergency kit and we guard that dress with our livesβ €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
Worry 2. Barking during the ceremony - we will make a plan that includes whipping your furry loved one away for a walk or a treat β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
Worry 3. Running off - we will encourage you to hire a dog sitter straight after the ceremony who can hang around for the afternoon and keep a close eye on your pooch - feed them and even take them home in the evening for a sleep over, because lets face it the 4 legged kind are not too keen to be on the dance floor all night. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

The Wedding Dolls started out 10 years ago with intentions of being a Wedding Planning Business, like most planners we took on a number of Day Management roles to gain more experience, fine tune our skills and build a wedding portfolio after years of working in corporate events, HOWEVER we grew to love the Day Management role and realised it was a service every couple should include in their wedding budget - we call it Dolly on the Day.β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

The Wedding Dolls started out TEN years ago with the intention of being a full blown wedding planning business. Ten years ago Day Coordination wasn't really a thing, it was something wedding planner wannabe's did to gain experience, network with suppliers and fine tune their own style - and that was our plan BUT a few years in and after planning with many wonderful clients from the start of their journey we made the decision to change the direction of our business. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Our main focus today is Day Coordination and here's whyβ €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Couples put so much time, effort and money into creating their perfect wedding day - they deserve to be able to relax and should let someone else execute these plans on their behalf.β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Couples planning their wedding know what they want - they just don't have the experience to design the perfect running order - they deserve support to make the timings realistic so that all suppliers know where they need to be and at what time, ensuring a smooth running order behind the scenes as well as creating a seamless flow for the guest experience. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €

Couples are the 'Stars of the Show' they should not be running around trying to solve unforeseen problems (trust us something always crops up!) and neither should their family or bridal party. Those nearest and dearest to the couple have waited a long time to celebrate such a special occasion, should they be nervous, stressed or overwhelmed with a to do list under their arm.
