The day will provide prospective students and their parents/guardians with information about preparing for a performance career, as well as bespoke, high-quality content relating to vocational training in dance, drama and musical theatre.

Huge congratulations to 2024 Jazz Focus graduate Charlie Hodgkinson who will be playing the title role in Rumplestiltskin at The Met Theatre in Bury this Christmas. He has recently completed a season as Production Vocalist for Haven Holidays. Congratulations to Jazz Focus Graduate Amy Walker who will be returning to the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton this Christmas, as Ensemble Dancer and understudy Tinkerbell in The Further Adventures of Peter Pan – the Return of Captain Hook. The show will be directed my NBS Principal Lecturer Andrew Margerison. We are so very proud of you Amy and we wish you the most wonderful festive season in Pantoland.

Congratulations to Classical Focus graduate Misa Koide who appears in the movie adaptation of Wicked!

Misa was also in the hugely successful Wonka film. Theatre credits include The King and I at the London Palladium, Dominion Theatre and UK/International tour, The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre and George Takei’s Allegiance at the Charing Cross Theatre as Associate Choreographer and Dance Captain.

It's a busy month for Jazz Focus graduate Emi Ichikawa who is appearing alongside a wealth of UK theatre talent in the highly anticipated movie adaptation of Wicked opening in cinemas worldwide! WOW!!! Not only that, Emi but has also rejoined the West End cast of The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre, Sadlers Wells as Ensemble Swing.

Earlier this week Course Leader Jackie Gray and Principal Lecturers Sarah Dickinson and Andrew Margerison had a wonderful time seeing 2024 Jazz Focus graduate Maisie Mwebe make her professional debut with Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake - The Next Generation. The show opened at Plymouth Theatre Royal, and is currently playing at The Lowry here in Manchester, ahead of a Christmas Season at Sadlers Wells in London and UK Tour.

Many congratulations to 2024 Jazz Focus graduate Emma McLevey who has secured a contract with Disneyland Paris as a Parade Dancer and Character Performer with the Entertainment Department, starting in the New Year. Emma has also recently completed filming in Edinburgh, for the feature film Son of Sardaar 2, an upcoming Hindi-language action-comedy film directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. Well-done Emma, what a wonderful start to your performing career. We are very proud.
