Here’s an idea I used for my own daughter’s naming ceremony.

She was a so we used sand in the 7 rainbow colours to be poured into a star shaped jar. 7 family members poured them in, and read out affirmations at the same time

It was the most gorgeous moment, and we have the finished product to remember it!! ❤️

A lovely naming ceremony for Jacob a few weekends ago in Fallowfield.

Garden ceremonies have such a a great vibe. So relaxed and inclusive. This ceremony celebrated Jacob’s mixed German and English heritage with traditions from both countries included. Grandparents and guide parents both involved throughout!

A very wet wedding at Hollinwood scout camp near on Friday. It didn’t matter though, the guests all had umbrellas and we all had a great time. Congratulations to Sarah and Chris! More photos to follow

A few pics from our naming ceremony a few weeks ago. I wrote the ceremony, and then I wanted to be the Dad on the day, so I asked a fellow celebrant (Jude) to deliver it for me. The ceremony included a rainbow sand ritual with affirmations, a candle ritual for the guide parents (which will be relit each year on Joni’s birthday) and a few other little touches. We held it at Jazz club in . Such a memorable experience, and our Joni’s first appearance on the stage!!

Pinky up or pinky down??!
This week I’ve spoken to quite a few couples who are thinking of having a celebrant for their weddings in 2024. The main question I get asked is “Can we change the script?” ABSOLUTELY!! That’s the best part about hiring a celebrant, the whole ceremony is completely bespoke and unique!
