‼️ submissions deadline: Midnight Sun 22nd Dec ‼️
We’re super excited to be programmed for 2 nights (Fri & Sat!) as part of PUSH Festival at this Jan and are seeking talented performers to help us deliver a vivid & provocative cross art form celebration/critique of Millennial identity.
Like many others, we recently had our ACE funding bid rejected (strong bid, no feedback, just not enough cash to go round). HOWEVER, as a project that has been years in the making & is still evolving & building momentum, and having finally been programmed in PUSH after being shortlisted twice- we have decided to make it happen with the help of our creative community!
We want to be really clear about the ask:
* This is an unpaid opportunity that requires a speedy engagement of professionals wanting to collaborate & commit
* Rehearsals and shows are in Manchester between Jan 8th - 31st with shows on Jan 31 & Feb 1
* You will not be needed for the entire rehearsal period, but we do need artists who have good availability across January.
* We are looking for adaptable actors confident in voice and movement including learning and performing choreography
* We are looking to represent a broad spectrum of millennial adolescence & would love to be as representative across all protective characteristics as we are able- though we realise the lack of pay creates inevitable barriers.
* We are also interested to hear from specialist artists who may appear in the show for short moments as part of a collage of millennials to present a poem or song in response to a provocation. If this is you, we’d still like you to submit the self tape.

Please check out our pinned project announcement post & link to the show on sale at HOME for further MP info!
Please find all additional info re the casting (inc script extracts, rehearsal dates) at the application link in our bio!
Please help us spread the word!

If you’re not a performer but are/know other creatives looking to connect and collaborators, eyes on our next post…!

We’re so excited to announce phase 2 of Millennial Pink is going to be a part of HOME’s PUSH FESTIVAL 2025!!

Millennial Pink is a tough-love letter to pop music and MTV; an ode to bedroom culture and girlhood.
To memorising lyrics and learning dance routines, scribbling in your diary, and learning to kiss using your pillow or your best friend.

Join us at HOME this January to explore how 00’s pop culture shaped millennial women’s ideas around gender, s*xuality and self worth.
The show embraces the raw authenticity and passion of being a teenager, reflecting on what we soaked up from the world around us that doesn’t serve us, but also wondering if we lost some of the good bits along the way.

Remember how it felt to scream lyrics at the top of your lungs and dance til your feet hurt sober mid week? We want Millennial Pink to remind you of who you were and ARE once you strip away all the mixed up messaging that blocked, boxed, shrunk and tamed you.
It’s a show about taking back power, subverting the gaze, spotlighting and repositioning the joys and conflicts of modern mainstream feminism, flipping the script on what it felt like to be an adolescent and offering a more optimistic view of the power and potential within teenage girls today.

Expect: Heaps of nostalgia, joy, giddiness and anger. Optional audience interaction including singalongs, dance offs, chants, break out discussions, passing the mic and and opinion polling. We hope there will be home truths, collective learning, fun and frank conversations.

This will be a sharing of work from the second phase of development, which see us re-embrace our DIY dreams (due to a funding bid rejection!) crack on and prove that magic can be made without money!! Keep your eyes on our channel and newsletter for various call outs for creative collaborators!!

I Really Do Think This Will Change Your Life:

Belles was the it-Girl, hip girl, oh-so-very-fit-girl.
When she was 17.
Now, she’s 24 and spends her days bossed about by her Mum and girls she 100% used to bully.
So, when a life-changing opportunity slides into her DMs, she carpes the diem, makes her millions and proves the worth of women one social media post at a time.
Except she doesn’t.
Because… come on.
