Join us for the digital debut of this funny, fierce, feminist tour-de-force and be the first to see this cinematic digital production, captured live by
On Wed Nov 13th we’ll celebrate the online launch of I Really Do Think This Will Change Your Life the acclaimed one woman theatre show taking down multi-level marketing, girl boss feminism and get rich schemes lauded as “an innovative new production for the digital generation.”
Fresh off the back of a multi-award nominated ★★★★★ run at the Edinburgh Fringe, we’re teaming up with the creative team behind this funny, fierce, feminist tour-de-force to host their digital debut.

We’ll gather online to introduce the project, its themes and inspiration, watch the show and host a short post-screening Q&A.
Whether you’re interested in the ways in which capitalism and feminism intersect, solo shows, what young women are up against online, or capturing your theatre work on screen, we’d love to hear your insights!

I Really Do Think This Will Change Your Life:

Belles was the it-Girl, hip girl, oh-so-very-fit-girl.
When she was 17.
Now, she’s 24 and spends her days bossed about by her Mum and girls she 100% used to bully.
So, when a life-changing opportunity slides into her DMs, she carpes the diem, makes her millions and proves the worth of women one social media post at a time.
Except she doesn’t.
Because… come on.

A finalist for The Stage Innovation Award, this is a hair-pulling, fake-nail scratching, cat-fight against get-rich-quick schemes and what it means to be a Girl Boss™. Featuring bold, immersive video design with creative captions and a pioneering approach to accessibility, this fast-paced, multi-disciplined show was a finalist of The Stage Innovation Award 2024.

“A FASCINATING BLUEPRINT FOR THE FUTURE OF THEATRE” The Stage

A Mercury & Pleasance Edinburgh National Partnership Production. Produced by ThickSkin through its Supported Artists Programme.

Bend it Like Beckham: Ball Skills Workshop with as part of our Bend it Like Beckham Immersive Screening Event one month ago!
We were so lucky to work with so many amazing initiatives, organisations and community groups as part of the production and delivery of this incredible event and connecting with Rain on Me was a real highlight!

Founded in 2020, Rain On Me FC is more than just a football club—it’s a collective built by and for the q***r community in Greater Manchester. Led by a committee of dedicated volunteers, Rain On Me FC has built a reputation as a club that’s focused on creating space for all to enjoy football. The team celebrates and uplifts marginalised voices, whilst exercising a deep love for the beautiful game and wxmens football. From hosting Lionesses screenings, to running football tournaments and raising money for charities and community groups around the North West, it’s a wonderful club to be a part of! Follow and support their work here

Wondering what the Itch that Scratch creative feedback and mingle looks like after the event?

We wanted to make lots of different ways for you to respond to what you’ve seen and tap into your own artistic-ness in the process - whether you do a doodle, vote on what a character should do next, write a letter, leave a voice note, scan the qr code and fill in a google form, or just stick around for a chat - it all helps keep the creative juices flowing, and the ideas growing…until they are GLOWING

Thank you if you’ve been part of one of the past 4 events - can you spot your contribution? Or found the process helpful/fun? Let us know below!

Next event: WEDNESDAY 23rd OCTOBER 7-9pm Booking in bio!

ITCH that SCARY SCRATCH has a whole new bunch of apples in the bucket for you next week - including…

Breath of Fresh Breast - Hargroves

it’s either going to be a powerpoint presentation about how you’re failing as a woman, a serious piece about the love I have for my ginger cat William or a James Bond appreciation show. I love you, goodbye.

The Asexual Vampire -

I’ve seen Buffy. I’ve seen The Vampire Diaries. I’ve seen the g*dforsaken abomination that is Twilight. I’ve had enough.

I am sick to undeath with the sexualisation of vampires in the media. What Hollywood doesn’t seem to care about is the knock-on effects it has for the humble vampire-next-door. This madness has to end. It’s time for me to set the record q***r.

Good Morning Captain by Mike Kaloski-Naylor

No robins redbreasts here, just seagulls, pigeons and magpies. More and more magpies chattering at each other from the chimney tops. You might own this house, but those walls could cause you issues. And you are very late to a much older and longer conversation. A short sharp look into where a fresh start can lead.

Speed Mate-ing x Action Point: Mental Health & Community Special!
✨ Did someone say collab? ✨
Join Amie and Megan in a GG crossover: think of everything you know and love about Speed Mate-ing, combined with the innovative focus of Action Point. This month, we’re talking mental health!
We’ll be taking key thoughts and ideas from Micha Frazer Carroll’s ‘Mad World’, July’s book, and weaving them into the usual speed mateing format to open honest, frank, and generative discussions about mental health.
Via one on one conversations, group ice breakers, creative stimulus, activities and discussion, we’ll be connecting individually and collectively to create actionable ideas around our own mental health, the wellbeing of our community and zoom out to the wider politics of mental health globally.

“We should build towards a future where communities can lead research and exploration, and collectively devise ways of describing ourselves and relating to one another that are characterised by creativity, complexity, community, abundance and solidarity.” - Micha Frazer-Carroll (Mad World, 2023)
Come join us to build a community of abundance, solidarity, and ZERO judgement!
