The Hebden Bridge superhero has provided us with a dreamy selection of jazzy African rhythms for the 59th mix for our Doodle Mix Series.

There’s not a lot he doesn’t know about house and disco, what with his label, legendary Robodisco parties and film making endeavours covering the rise of Norwegian Disco.
What he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing!

Secretsundaze are our guests for the end of May Bank Holiday weekend.

We’re rather excited!

It’ll be a double Doodle debut as it’ll be the first visit from the London duo, plus we’ll be making proper use of the excellent basement for the first time for a party of our own.

For 17 years Secretsundaze have been doing what they do best – following their hearts not the hype.

It's been said for decade that clubs and club nights, by their very nature and essence should emphasise belonging and have a strong focus on the people that attend.
It's no different for Doodle.
We cherish the commitment, openness and welcoming nature of those that keep returning to our parties.

One week to go!!

Next Saturday, 17th September, we are joined by the indomitable Dele Sosimi; one of Afrobeat’s most important voices. In his 6th decade as a performer, Dele’s career has been coloured with immense acclaim. He performed for the best part of a decade with the great Fela Kuti, has worked with Tony Allen, and now, of course, seamlessly blends his signature funk and jazz grooves with Doodle favourite Medlar’s South London skippy House music.

We are truly blessed.

Very proud to welcome Medlar back to Doodle - he made his Doodle debut over 10 years ago, in December 2012, so it’s a pleasure to welcome him back along with his production partner, Afrobeat legend, Dele Sosimi.

Hello wonderful people.

We have a very special party to share with you.

On Saturday, September 17th, Afrobeat royalty ‘Dele Sosimi’ and his South London compadré, tastemaker extraordinaire ‘Medlar’ perform live at the wonderfully unique ‘Eagle Inn.

To have these two incredible artists perform in such an intimate space is a real treat. We couldn’t be more excited!

Doodle DJs will provide the support, and a very special guest will take us through to the early hours of Sunday morning.

Be quick; our spiritual home is beautiful, but cosy!!

Things have been particularly spicy of late at Doodle, but, wow! We have realllyyy ramped it up this time.

We are absolutely elated to finally announce a party that we have been working on behind the scenes for months. On Saturday, 17th September we welcome Dele Sosimi & Medlar to perform live at the Eagle Inn.

One of the most important figures in Afrobeat, to have Dele Sosimi, a once collaborator of the great Fela Kuti to grace our stage alongside Doodle friend and insatiable taste maker, Medlar will be a dream.

It’s Doodle Day!
Always special when there’s a boat involved.
As usual, we’re setting off from in Castlefield and departing at 7pm, so please don’t be late.
We’ll be frolicking on the Bridgewater canal until 10pm when we’ll dock back at Barca, heading over to the and continuing from around 11pm.
As you know, nautical attire, silly hats and costumes are definitely encouraged.

Statement

It has come to our attention that an incident occurred on Friday involving a member of our team. We have been shocked by this incident and prioritised the support of those affected. We have taken the decision to terminate our association with the individual in question. We would like to make it very clear that Doodle is safe space, built on unity, love and respect. We are very saddened to hear of this incident and out of respect of the persons involved we would like to decline to comment further at this stage.

We will continue to offer our support and solidarity with parties concerned.
