Our first PYO in the flowers last weekend was a great success, thank you so much to everyone that booked and came along for a lovely afternoon wandering, cutting, chatting and laughing in the field.
We have thought about opening for a while but the time is never right or the weather!
This was just a one off for this season as things are starting to slow up now but we are thinking about opening up next year for a few dates through the year, we’ll give you more notice next time as we know lots of you missed it and would have loved to have come along.
We’re already sowing and planning for next year.
Thanks once again, it means the world when you all want to come and cut flowers from our little flower farm!

We have lots of dahlias, zinnias and other flowers this week so we thought we would share them with you on our first PYO in the flower field.
Come along and choose a jam jar, vase or bucket, grab some of our scissors and go wander through the flowers. Once you’ve cut what you like, enjoy tea and cake and we’ll wrap your flowers ready to take home.
Sorry this is last minute, booking is essential as we need to know numbers of people visiting beforehand.
Please message me to book!

I just love a bright summer wedding full of all the colours, this was a very cute wedding of just a Brides Bouquet, buttonholes and 8 bottles to decorate the table for lunch, perfect for the first Saturday in August on yet another sunny, hot day.
Congratulations to Jack & Sarah!

A closer look as I wandered through the flowers this morning revealed some friends!

Dried flower season is in full swing, we’re cutting, bunching and hanging every day while this weather is dry and perfect for our flowers, let us know if you’d like some, they won’t hang around for long in this hot weather!

We’ve ( me, the flowers, the puppy and the family) survived the hottest week here on the flower farm, it’s been hot, there’s been looooong days and a lot of watering but hopefully we’re getting through this extra warm spell now and can see a cooler week ahead.
This bouquet was cut last night, arranged and wrapped and collected early this morning for a ladies birthday, sometimes I don’t want to give the flowers away, this was one of those!
One day I will make myself a gorgeous vase of flowers just for me!
Although I’m smiling in the first picture, I was being crawled on by the thunder bugs (see second picture).
Have a lovely weekend everyone!

This heat is just a bit too much for us and our flowers, we don’t cut during the day as it’s just far too hot, we’re up early and work in the evenings so please let us know in plenty of time if you would like flowers!

June has felt more like April so far with this much needed rain here in our little corner of North Essex.
We haven’t had time to stop for anything, planting has been in full swing, it’s ongoing for now but we (me) have planted 1000’s of flowers in the last 10 days.
Today has been a Polytunnel day sowing seed and pricking out more plants. Cutting for your orders has meant dodging the showers and getting wet here and there!
Thanks so much for all of your orders and following, I promise to show you more of what we’ve been doing!

This week is flying by, how is it Wednesday already?
I had great plans to get so much done this week before half term but I’m running out of days fast!
How’s your week going?
Anyone else feeling like they’re running out of time?

This cold spell that we’ve had has slowed our flowers up but with the forecast looking brighter and warmer this week, things will hopefully start to grow a bit more.
We are definitely ready for warmer weather now, with the first of this year’s weddings in 10 days we’re excited for the summer and growing you lots of beautiful flowers!
