Well here we are at Midsummer already, although it’s hardly felt like it with the weather this year we can finally see a change at last!
It was chilly in the flowers this morning but it was just so wonderful to watch the sun come up and just enjoy the quietness at that time of day with the birds singing and the odd rabbit to keep me company!
We have lots of lovely flowers coming on well now, so summer is here and with a wedding today it’s going to be a busy but great day to celebrate the summer solstice.
Enjoy your day whatever you’re doing!

Sweet Williams are here again & they really are just wonderful!
They’re not the quickest thing to grow as these were planted last summer but wow they’re worth the wait.
If you love them as much as us and would love a bunch or a bucket full we’re tomorrow 9.30-1pm, we’re selling them on our farm gate stall in Lawford or you can send us a message to order direct.

They’re perfect as a gift ( 3 or 5 are always a nice number)
They’re great to decorate a table for any occasion whether it’s a party, birthday, hen do, baby shower, wedding or just because you want to brighten up the kitchen table.
We love these pretty pastel colours for this order last week, full of ranunculus, sweet williams, calendular, nigella, mint, briza grass, senecio, sage and a couple of gorgeous anemones.

Welcome to February!
We now have lovely seasonal British flowers for sale again, although they are not grown by us, they are grown in Lincolnshire and then bunched up with our greenery from the garden.
We’ve gone pink this week but every week they’ll be different, with the weather looking brighter here, why not pop over for a cuppa in their lovely cafe and pick up a bunch before they go!

❤️❤️❤️Valentine’s Day is fast approaching & this year we’re trying something different. Although we don’t have any flowers of our own ready at the moment, we do have lots of fresh homegrown greenery & have ordered some beautiful seasonal Flowers from other British growers. You can now order Bouquets to collect from us or we can deliver locally in the Manningtree area.
These are all made to order so be quick to get your orders in before we sell out, ladies you may need to hint to your other half so they don’t leave it until the last minute! ❤️❤️❤️

I know I’m a bit late to the new year but I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself to all of my old and new followers.
I’m Caroline, a trained florist of over 30 years, a flower farmer of 5 years, a mum, wife and jack of all trades on our smallholding on the borders of Essex & Suffolk.
I have always loved being outdoors and messing about in the dirt, having grown up with parents who grew fruit & vegetables for 40 years on a LSA ( Land Settlement Association) smallholding.
Flowers have been and are a big part of my life, I love creating arrangements for all occasions.
2023 was a great year for flowers, I grew lots, sold lots at our lovely local Farmers’ Markets, on our farm stall at the gate, to local shops, Weddings, funerals and bucket after bucket to florists and DIY Weddings!
2024 is looking to be another exciting busy year, I have lots of plans, Weddings booked in and am hoping to grow lots more variety in our flowers.
If you need flowers for any occasion, just send me a message, email or call to see how we can help!
Thanks for following our Flower Farm!

How can October be here already?
We ( me & the flowers) are absolutely loving this warm weather at the moment, the days may be shorter now but still the buds keep coming and giving me some beautiful blooms for you all!
Today’s colours are just beautiful, sometimes I wander for ages deciding what combinations to put together, these will be bunched and wrapped ready for orders tomorrow.
Hopefully there’s still a few more weeks of these beauties so if you’d like a bunch, bouquet, jam jar, table arrangement or funeral tribute just send us a message.

The Amaranthus or otherwise known as Love lies bleeding this year has been wonderful, this is the second crop and definitely the best we’ve ever grown!
It’s just loved the wet and warm weather we’ve had lately and has grown to about 4ft tall!
It’s on the list for next year but in another colour aswell.

Wow these hot sunny September days are certainly making it challenging for us flower farmers!
It’s darker in the morning and evening now so there’s not much time for cutting before it gets really hot.
These were cut for orders early this morning, they have definitely been the colours of the summer too.

Another beautiful funeral spray, this was full of our seasonal flowers including the first of the dahlias, cornflowers, grasses, lavender, echinops, scabious, clary, mint, nigella, antirhinums and tanacetum.
It was made completely foam free in moss which is definitely the way forward in doing our bit to help the environment. We no longer use floral foam in any of our arrangements, yes sometimes it takes longer to make something and more thought in how we do it but the end results are the same, a beautiful arrangement.
