⛏️ The tours provided by volunteers give children & their families an educational insight into the history of the building and what life was like as an active colliery for workers 'back in the day'👷
⛏️ You'll don a hard hat as you descend into the tunnel to get a feel of being a worker in that environment. Amazing for children to see and experience the enormity of the Powerhouse & understand what it was used for.

An amazing weekend at the Clipstone at War event, we are so grateful to all those that came along with displays and stalls and entertainment, you are all true stars, you made the weekend absolutely memorable. Thanks to the headstocks team of volunteers too who helped us put on this event. Many thanks to all those that visited too, it was very rewarding seeing you all enjoying the event, see you at the next one.

More military vehicles arrive at the Clipstone headstocks museum
Massive thanks to all those that supported the event at the headstocks last week, it was spectacular. Big shout out to all those that put it together. Ben, Lewis, Abby, Kev, Spud, Sam, Matt, Lee, Dave, Jenny, Hieka, Tom, Eddy and Matt and Jack and all the traders and ride operators. Oh yeah and not forgetting the amazing performance by Chris Miggells on guitar!

Headstocks events team
Concrete and steel going in to cap the down shaft under the headgear nearest the road. AKA H1.
Progress in Heapstead 2, (the up shaft) with the temporary cap being removed in readiness for the permanent cap.
Work continues replacing the temporary caps with permanent caps.
Below the headstock number 2 (furthest from the road) is a huge hole that was for air to be drawn out, known as a fan drift. This has now been successfully filled in to preserve the buildings above.
