We are excited to be joined at our retreat in Edale by the incredible David Sye of Yogabeats 💫

David is based in London though teaches across the world. His passion and excitement for his work arises out of the fact that the practise and theory behind Yogabeats is not only a model for transformation through yoga, but a system where men and women are given the tools to maintain the transformation, so they can go on to realise their life’s full potential.

Join us on Monday evenings for a 75-minute class of hatha vinyasa yoga, focussing on breath 🧘

There are spaces available in Mike McMaster’s Monday evening Hatha yoga class 7.45-9.00pm .life in Matlock. This class is a mixed ability class and is £9 per session.

Mike is a 200 hr Yoga Alliance certified experienced yoga instructor based in Matlock, Derbyshire, UK. He specialises in Hatha Vinyasa yoga and has been teaching professionally since 2015 at all levels.

“My classes can be challenging (rest and modifications are always an option). I offer classes that are safe, friendly, enjoyable, educational and holistic to what I feel is the true essence of yoga.

Vinyasa is part of the hatha yoga tradition and translates as ‘to place the breath in a special way’ or ‘place’. The physical side to a yoga practice (asana) is a very small part of the true essence of yoga and I teach a variety of other techniques that are integral to a true practice and compliment one another, such as traditional breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation, honoring a path of yoga that has been practiced for thousands of years.”

When putting the idea of the festival togther we had a very clear image of the evening heading towards a jazzy, upbeat, summer vibe... picture the sun going down, open fires, people enjoying themselves outdoors in our beach area in our special little festival and listening to some amazing, atmospheric drum & bass. Like Hip-hop and other turntable music, the creativity in selecting the right tracks and mixing togther is an artform which is why EBL Arts Fest are delighted to be ending our night with two of the best around. D&B connoisseur & owner of Align Creative Services, brings two decades of experience in designing and collaborating with major global D&B labels and artists. Originally from Matlock, Martin's passion for the genre has led him to curate an exclusive playlist of Jazz-infused, Atmospheric, and Liquid D&B dubs.

Throughout his career, Martin has established strong connections within the industry. His collaborations include renowned names such as Paul SG, Furney, SoulStructure, Madcap, Pulse, MC Conrad, T.R.A.C, Creative Wax, Soul Deep, Smooth N Groove, Jazzsticks Recordings, and V Recordings. These associations have allowed him to contribute his creative expertise to their projects, further solidifying his reputation as a respected figure in the D&B community.

After dark we will move the EBL festivities indoors to Designate’s boutique bar to carry on the fun! 💃 DJ Ben Stunt will be closing the night with his mix of eclectic party music.. expect a wide range of genres including disco, funk, house, hip-hop, Afro, dub and reggae. Ben is a regular on the Derbyshire music scene, and further afield from Nottingham and Bristol to Switzerland’s Verbier where he played for several years as one half of duo Bubbadog & Stunt.
