🚴‍♂️ Stapleford Estate hosted a section of the Cicle Classic Race with riders racing across the Parkland which was part of the 180km (112 miles) international cycle road race, over a challenging on and off-road course in Rutland and East Leicestershire.
A challenging course that includes both on and off-road sections, taking riders through local roads and farm tracks between Oakham and Melton. Riders from across Europe and beyond take just over 4 and a quarter hours to complete the race 🚴‍♀️

The FSMR volounteers who help to maintain the infrastructure and rolling stock of the railway are looking for members who can attend regularly at weekends to help in the fore mentioned tasks.
Due to our lovely English weather
We have a considerable amount of extra work to do this year to ensure the smooth running of both the railway and events this season so if your aged over 18 and happy to get stuck in no matter of your gender WE NEED YOU . Families with younger children are welcome as we can find jobs for all but parents need to be in attendance for under 16’s.
