Stolen from garages in Pendle Close Peterlee, it's a rare classic and they must have moved it on a truck or A-frame as it isn't drivable.

Update -

The car was stolen on a beaver tail recovery truck on Sunday between 15:30-17:30

It was spot in Shildon around mid day on Monday

And also on the A19 northbound between 15:30-18:00 on Monday

Send off for Chris that he deserves…

Chris Fothergill sadly passed away on 13th July 2023 and left behind a loving family. Chris was well known for his love of classic cars, whether that be attending shows in his classic Vauxhall Royale, his Whips N Scoops Ice Cream Van or his body shop in Bishop Auckland. (The Body & Paint Shop)

With the agreement of his partner, we are going to ask everyone to join Chris for one final ride, to give him the send off he deserves, to rev those engines and make some noise with those horns!

The details are as follows:

Friday 4th August

Classic owners are asked to attend his garage, The Body & Paint Shop, on Union Street in Bishop Auckland. DL14 7TB is the postcode for 10am. We need people in place by 10.15am at the latest.

Chris & the family car will make there way from home to his garage, where all Chris's cars will be waiting; The Vauxhall Royale, Sunny van, Celica, ice cream van, recovery truck with the Cavalier on & another truck with both the Carlton & Belmont will follow the family and we ask that classic owners follow on the end of this.

Before the cortège reaches St Andrews Church in Spennymoor, there will be a roundabout to exit, we ask that you give one big rev and a blast of the horn as each of you leave the roundabout. Church postcode DL16 6NE, but we ask you don’t block the church with cars on Barnfield Road.

Let’s make it the send off he deserves!

TODAY'S THE DAY

Middlesbrough Classic Car Show 2023 is here!

Public gates open in half an hour's time at 10am and is just £3 for adults with kids going in for free. (Cash only)

The only onsite public parking is for blue badge holders only.

Gates are already open for exhibitors so come on along and show off your pride and joy.

NOTE: This page will not be monitored until this evening after the show closes at 3pm.

Tomorrow is the day we've all been waiting for it's Middlesbrough Classic Car Show 2023

Gates open for exhibitors at 8:30am and there's no pre-booking required just turn up and display your pride and joy

Public admission is from 10am and is £3 for adults and free for the kids.

The fields looking fantastic, the weather forecast is beautiful, it's going to be an amazing day.
