Eeee what a mint opening day at Whitby Folk Week! Enjoyed a long and boozy afternoon singaround in The Waiting Room with some really brilliant singers and then (after the obligatory pork pie in The Black Horse) we were off to a smasher of an evening’s club with some lovely pals. Cracking start to what will be a great week - enjoy if you are down there! 🎶🙂

Hi everyone! Home from another brilliant weekend at Saltburn Folk Festival - great to see (and hear!) some of you there! Just a reminder there is no club next week as it clashes with Whitby.

Hello everyone! There will be no club next week as it clashes with the England match being shown in the pub. We will be hosting our usual Christmas Eve carol singalong, lead by our good friends Chris and Steve Wilson (event details to follow!) and normal service will resume from January 🙂

Well, what a night that was! Packed to the rafters and back to back incredible performances from faces old and new. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support our lovely little club over the last year. We are so very proud of it.

Just popped down to collect all the food bank donations from last night - we have an entire car load of stuff and £100 in cash donations. Blown away. Thank you. We’ve made the donation online today and will drop the food and toiletries at Middlesbrough food bank on Tuesday.

Finally, a huge thanks to our hosts, Russ, Sarah, Ian and Jean of Chapel - Whitehouse St. - it wouldn’t be half the club it is without such wonderful landlords who work so hard to create what is honestly, the most perfect venue… ever.

Eeee, well what an excellent first night we had!
Thanks to all who attended, those who sang and those who listened - here's to many more!
