The absolutely brilliant Trev Teasdel who has performed at our nights, is hosting a writing group in the Hillstreet starting from Wednesday the 10th!

Structured like a course, open to drop ins. Get along if you can, it’ll be great xx

A long time ago at a Gobful, this man was asked not to perform as he made a lot of the audience very uncomfortable, especially the women!

I am glad to say that he hasn’t been to a Gobful event for many many months, and he would have been made to leave if he had! This news just confirms what this man is - although from what I have found out about him, doesn’t go nearly far enough!!

I try my best (as did Jack before me) to ensure that Gobful is a supportive and encouraging environment! But more importantly is a SAFE SPACE FOR ALL xx

I can assure you this man will never attend a Gobful event, or any other event I am involved in!

Have a great Christmas everyone and hopefully I will see you all for a lovely time on the 29th ❤️

Now Then Beautiful People…..

Just Gareth here, as some of you are aware I have been handed the baton of this lovely event while Jackie and Emilia are off on adventures.

With that in mind I am working on a new venue for “Another Gobful” so we can try and keep this wonderful event going. I will be in touch again in the next few days with a further update on time and date of the next event!

If you could all continue with the amazing support of the event, then I will try my absolute best to fill Jackie’s shoes in his absence - maybe not the high heels or roller boots though 😂

I don't always watch SNL but I do bathe fairly often. I thought about introducing something that might resemble a Wim Hoff method of washing. Filled bags for life with water and froze them. I carved them from the freezer drawer with great difficulty. Ended up snapping the plastic front and it wasn't really worth it... Staring at a hunk of ice from the tap end.

My typewriter hasn't seen much action recently, the keys seemed stiff, almost lazy. Like they'd been interrupted and begrudgingly spat out some average poetry. "It's VALENTINES" I tried explaining but they simply did not get the concept.

My guess, the lady from Facebook marketplace, who I bought it off. Wasn't writing so many love letters...
