Hello! Welcome o

Hello! Welcome to Christina Rae and thank you for coming.

Christina Rae was ‘born’ from Isabella Bridal in Musselburgh’s North High Street. Hearing that Isabella was closing due to retirement, I approached the lovely Sheila to ask about buying her business as I felt Musselburgh still needed a place where ladies could come and try on some fabulous dresses. Initial plans were to continue with Isabella as it was but due to one thing and another, it was a while before I could take over the business, during which time Sheila had officially retired and the shop had closed (and I was unable to take over the lease in North High Street). As such I decided to start afresh and after much soul searching, came up with the name Christina Rae in homage to my dear Mum (RIP), my mother-in-law and the love of my life, my beautiful wee girl, who was named after them both.

I will offer a lovely selection of exquisite bridal gowns and accessories from designers who are exclusive to this area along with bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, prom dresses, occasion dresses and communion dresses. And because I know how difficult it is for brides to try and find a Saturday when all of their “entourage” are available, I will be offering appointments for Sundays and evenings too.
