New class Beginners Pilates and Hypopressives every Monday 10:30-11:30 at 75a Ringwood Road, Poole, BH14 0RG. We’re behind Poole Car Wash, look for Breeze Dance Academy!

Strengthen your core and your pelvic floor by learning Pilates and Hypopressives.

Hypopressives is a great way to improve your breathing and posture which in turn helps your pelvic floor. Your pelvic floor should move with our breath and all of our movements, so if you’re just squeezing it all day with your Kegels and pelvic floor exercises - come along and learn how to relax it and get it moving in all its range (you might find it works on other areas as well)!

This class is suitable for beginners or if you’re returning to exercise, post natal, diastasis recti and prolapse friendly. Bring a mat, maybe a small cushion or hand towel and your water.

On 26-28 August (Bank Holiday Weekend), Abbey Farm are hosting a festival of all things floral and nature related. There will be lots of stalls by makers who create crafts inspired by nature, as well as talks, themed walks and workshops and as a flower and herb
menu by Cherries Café.

This August sees a new 3-day event in the West Dorset calendar, with the first ever Flower Festival at new destination Abbey Farm Abbotsbury. and hashtag

On 26-28 August (Bank Holiday Weekend), Abbey Farm will be hosting a festival of all things floral and nature related. There will be lots of stalls by makers who create crafts inspired by nature, as well as talks, themed walks and workshops and as a flower and herb menu by Cherries Café.

Music is also planned for the event and anyone who would like to be considered for an Open Mic Session during the weekend should email: [email protected].

The flower festival is a nod to Abbotsbury’s tradition when the local children carried their beautiful flower and greenery covered garlands around the village collecting for charity before they placed them at the War Memorial in the churchyard; in the past the garlands used to be cast into the sea.

Penny Callaghan, owner of From My Mother’s Garden says: “We decided to create this event because as a collection of artistic businesses, “flowers and nature” is a common theme. We have Abbey Farm Flowers Pick Your Own on site as well as Duir Soaps and of course my own clothing label is inspired by my mother’s garden. Clare Hawkes takes inspiration from nature with her landscape paintings, Make & Mend sells local Dorset crafts including items made from floral Liberty prints and Cherries Café is a vibrant café using seasonal produce and is decorated in a colourful floral mural. Add to this the famous Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens, the Swannery and the flower wreath traditions, it made it a natural event to host in the village.”
