Thank you Mark!
An important message from Mark Wallman, our official spokesperson and Media Consultant :
Hello, Royal Imperial Wrestling fans. I'm afraid to say that after six and a half years of service, I have partially left the promotion in terms of appearing on their shows. It hasn't been an easy decision for me, but this is due to personal issues outside of Royal Imperial, and isn't what's termed in the wrestling business as kayfabe. In other words, this is reality, not a storyline.
Firstly, my younger brother very sadly and unexpectedly passed away in early September last year, and as we were close, it hit me very hard. Despite this tragic event, I continued to be present at Royal Imperial shows filming all the action, but in the meantime, issues also arose with mine and my mother's landlady. Initially, it meant moving into temporary lodgings in Aberfan, which is the next village along from our own, but my mother's an OAP and it has put a lot of pressure on her. Therefore, as a result, we have made the decision to move permanently to our regular holiday destination on the Essex coast, as we have family there and both felt it would be the best thing to do. Again, the decision to partially leave hasn't been easy, and I'll very much miss the wrestlers who I've met and become associated with, as well as the wonderful fans who continue to support the promotion wherever they go. However, even though I can sadly no longer be there to film the shows for Royal Imperial, this doesn't mean I'm leaving completely, as I'll still be involved behind the scenes, bringing you the online results from future events, keeping the championship histories updated, reporting on the important happenings for 'Royal Imperial Wrestling News' when required and producing content with regards to our YouTube channel and forthcoming DVD releases. Naturally, there will be a delay in this when I eventually uproot, but I'll do the very best I can nonetheless.
I wish to thank the Royal Imperial owner and promoter Andrew Griffiths for welcoming me into the fold as it were back in August 2017, when I first came to film 'Tequila Sunrise 6' at Taibach Rugby Club in Port Talbot, and those such as my fellow Admin staff PJ Schultz, Darius Thomas, Ace Allerton and Matt Griffiths for their friendship and support. This honestly isn't "goodbye" but simply "au revoir", for if I choose to make occasional trips back to Wales in the future, who knows, I may even make a surprise appearance for Royal Imperial in some way! I'll never forget the friends I've made and will keep in touch with them via social media, so never fear, as I'll always be Royal and I'll always be Imperial.
Thank you, everybody, best wishes and take care.
