🫶🏼 I’m super chuffed that I’ve had quite a few folk who have recently started following me. A huge thank you to you all!*

👋🏻 I think it’s only right and proper that I introduce myself properly, so here are a few fun / interesting / not so interesting / downright dorky facts about me:

🗣️I won a public speaking competition when I was 14 and the prize was elocution lessons. Worst experience of my life. Also didn’t work.

👱 I had permed hair and a mullet when I was 19 (stop sniggering at the back).

🪄I used to work for Disney and spent 15 years ‘married to the mouse’.

🐯 I once, ahem, ‘helped’ Tigger to do a meet and greet at Disney World. And yes, he is is real.

💍 I’m getting married myself this year to the gorgeous ! So going through the whole ‘wedmin’ thang myself.

🙈 I say things like ‘super chuffed’ now and again . And the occasional ‘lush’. But draw the line at “totes amazeballs”.
Not in wedding scripts though, that would just be silly.

🎄✨ It was such a magical setting at Runa Farm for Laura and Tom's love-filled Christmas wedding complete with twinkling lights, festive decorations and a whole lot of love in the air.

❤️ The little ones really stole the show though, with their adorable readings to their mum and dad melting everyone's hearts. A celebrant wedding is the perfect way to involve those you love and their words were simply beautiful. Cue a collective... "aaaahhh"!

🥰 And how sweet it was to have them help with the handfasting ceremony for their wonderful mum and dad. They were absolute stars and did a great job helping them tie the knot!

🌟✨ Laura and Tom's story is a true testament to love, resilience, and the beauty of family. The whole room was supercharged with emotion listening to their epic story and you could literally feel the immense love for them from all their family and friends. There were more than a few big laughs along the way too!

Here's to a lifetime of love, laughter, and happy memories for the newlyweds! 🥂💍

💫 Today I was at beautiful Beamish Hall for a wedding fair organised by the brilliant , and it was buzzing with loads of amazing suppliers, all eager to showcase their talents and help create the wedding of dreams for lovely couples.

✨ From stunning photographers to gorgeous floral arrangements, cake makers, stationers and of course celebrants like me there was something to inspire every soon-to-be-wed pair.

👰🤵‍♂️ I loved meeting so many wonderful couples who were bursting with excitement about their big day. We chatted about their wedding plans, their visions, and how I could contribute to making their ceremony truly unforgettable. It was fab to connect with them and hear their love stories! 💕

🤍💫 Today, I had the absolute privilege of helping Lisa and Gary celebrate an incredible milestone by leading their vow renewal ceremony in their home town of Hull!
They've reached a remarkable 23 years of togetherness, with nearly two decades of marriage under their belts. 💍💖

To prove their compatibility before retaking their vows, they played a hilarious game of Mr. & Mrs! 🕺💃 Cue plenty of laughter and friendly competition!

Lisa and Gary are the epitome of a special couple. 💑 They've weathered storms together, faced challenges head-on, and emerged stronger each time. It's incredible how they find humour even in the toughest situations.

Like when Gary woke up from a coma following a health scare, Lisa looked him straight in the eye and said, "Do that again, and I'll bloody kill you myself!" Talk about a wicked sense of humour!

Lisa and Gary, you inspire us all with your unwavering love, resilience, and ability to see the lighter side of life. You remind us that laughter truly is the best medicine, even during the toughest times. ❤️

🤍 Yesterday was Mary and Mike's wedding at the enchanting New Close Farm and it was a drizzly day in good ol' County Durham, where the raindrops were falling like confetti. 🌧️ But did that stop the happy couple and their entourage? Not a chance!

Under the protective embrace of a cosy canopy, the guests formed an arc, creating an intimate space that was magical. 💦✨

Their wedding was brimming with warmth and love, even if the weather was doing its best impression of a car wash. 🌂

It was a reminder that come rain or shine, love conquers all! ❤️ Congrats Mary & Mike - it was truly an honour to be your celebrant! 💫

✨ This weekend I had the absolute honour of being the Celebrant at Charlotte and Richard's wedding ceremony, at the amazing Carlton Towers in East Yorkshire, and it was nothing short of magical! The setting there is like something out of a fairytale!
A quick shout out to Anna and her team at the blooms for their incredible floral designing! They made the whole place look even more magical! 💫

💖 Charlotte & Richard’s story is like something out of a fairytale. Two souls, destined to be together, finally finding their happily ever after. As they exchanged their vows, you could feel the depth of their connection. It was a moment that tugged at everyone’s heartstrings!

Afterwards I was met with some heartfelt compliments about the ceremony. It was bloomin’ lovely to hear how moved family and friends were. Moments like these remind me why I do what I do, and for that, I am forever grateful. 🙏💕

💃💖 I had the absolute pleasure of leading Charlotte and Lee's seriously mind-blowing wedding ceremony!

🤷🥂 Where do I even begin? This shindig was overflowing with pure joy, love, and an energy that could power a small city! ⚡️✨ But you know what took the whole experience to the next level? Brace yourselves, folks – an INCREDIBLE gospel choir! 🙌🎵

💃🕺 Picture this: the ceremony was already off-the-charts amazing, and then *boom* the sweet voices of the gospel choir filled the air, and the atmosphere skyrocketed to cloud nine! 🎶🌟 Friends, family, and yes, even yours truly couldn't resist joining in. We were singing, clapping, and dancing in the aisles like nobody's business! 💃🕺

🤍💍 But let's not forget the stars of the show – Charlotte and Lee! Their vows were like a love-infused lightning bolt that electrified the entire room (well, tipi, but you catch my drift!). I'm talking about goosebumps on top of goosebumps, people! It was a moment that reminded us all why we believe in true love. ❤️✨

💫🤍 Charlotte and Lee, you two are an absolute dream team. The way you look at each other could melt even the iciest of hearts. Your love is a force of nature, and being part of your special day was a privilege beyond words. May your journey together be filled with endless happiness and unforgettable adventures. Happy first anniversary, Chrissie and Ash! I can't believe it's already been a year since I had the pleasure of marrying you two lovebirds in Scarborough. Time flies when you're having fun, and it's clear that you two are having a blast together!

I remember your wedding day like it was yesterday - the sun was shining, the sea was sparkling, and Chrissie, you looked absolutely stunning in your dress (Ash didn't look too shabby either). You guys are the definition of - you support each other, make each other laugh, and never take yourselves too seriously.

💍 I had the pleasure of leading Lucy and Scott's wedding at a new venue for me, in the recently established and absolutely stunning surroundings of The Hidden Oak, near Stockton on Tees.

☀️ And the weather was just perfect on the day - it was like nature decided to show off!
As the ceremony space was set up in acres of space on the rolling lawns looking out onto the most spectacular view, it made the absolute most of the sun-shiney weather!

♥️ Now, these two lovely people may not be into all the mushy stuff or big public shows of affection, but their love for each other is undeniable and it came across in spades - along with plenty of humorous anecdotes and enough laughter to make your cheeks hurt!

🏡 And can we talk about the venue for a sec?
No hyperbole here when I say I was blown away by how breathtaking The Hidden Oak is. Trust me, this is quickly going to become one of the North East’s most sought after wedding venue locations. If you’re on the look out for your special place to tie the knot, you’ve simply got to check it out.

💕 Hey there, lovebirds! 💕

📔 Are you feeling overwhelmed by your wedding planning to-do list? Trust me, with a wedding of my own to plan for next year, I’m there too!

But there's one thing you absolutely can't afford to procrastifaff about: choosing your wedding suppliers.

📺 I know it's tempting to put off those decisions and enjoy a few more episodes of MAFS, but let me tell you, procrastifaffing can lead to some serious wedding day woes.

🎸 Imagine trying to walk down the aisle in a dress that's too big because you waited too long to schedule your fittings.
Or worse yet, having to settle for a DJ who only plays the Macarena because you didn't book that Ed Sheeran tribute act you love in time.

So, take my advice, don't dilly dally when it comes to wedding supplier selection.

☎️ Now when it comes to me, I know you’ll be flirting with other Celebrants and that’s okay. I’m happy to romance you with a connection call, hell, I’ll even have a dinner date with you.

💔 But pleeeeeaaase don’t hang about if I’m the guy for you to have as your celebrant… I don’t want to break your heart by telling you that your date’s gone weeks later.

💃 Your future self will thank you, and your wedding day will be smooth sailing (or dancing, depending on your style!).

🤍 I’ve been reminded of what love means it in all its forms while on holiday.

👩‍❤️‍👨 From the inseparable young couple on their first holiday abroad, to the two elderly friends who had an accident and ended up pushing each other around in wheelchairs, to the dozens of other couples in the resort taking time to reconnect and reaffirm what they mean to each other - it’s been a beautiful sight to see!

❤️‍🔥 And of course, I can't forget the amazing time me and my love have had together. She truly melts my heart and makes every moment special.

♥️ I guess that's why they call me "the guy that loves, love"!

💘Love is such a powerful force, and it's amazing how it can bring people together in such unexpected ways.

🫶🏼Whether it's romantic love, friendship love, or any other kind of love, it's something that should always be celebrated and cherished.

💟So, hold those you love close, always hold on to that feeling and let's all spread a little bit of love today to make the world a bit brighter! ❤️

Hello peeps.

🏖️Time for some all important down time before wedding season mania starts in earnest.

🛫 I'm now out of the office and over in Cyprus until the 29th April, probably off chasing unicorns or searching for the end of the rainbow. I'll be back soon though, so please hold tight and keep your fingers crossed for a pot of gold to come my way.

Massively frustrating for my couples that they still have to complete the legals at the registry office in order to have the humanist wedding they want.
This change in law is simple to do and the government could do it overnight using an existing legal instrument if they chose to do so.

TV presenters want same legal standing as civil and religious ceremonies in England and Wales
