🍂 Hello November! 🍂

October brought pumpkins, crafts, family time and plenty of memories… but I’m waving goodbye to spooky season with zero regrets 🤣 (I’ll never be a Halloween girl!)

Ted had another operation and is recovering so well — fingers crossed this is his last one for a while 🤞🏼 My little trooper ❤️

🎇 November kicked off with a special celebration for my lovely mother-in-law’s 70th! Dan and Amelia headed out for fireworks, while I stayed home with Ted — fireworks aren't his thing 💥🐾

🎂 Somehow… my baby turns TWO this month?! 😱 The birthday fairy has already visited and Amelia is obsessed with her new piano 🎹 We’ve got a whirlwind of birthdays coming up, but everything’s planned, prepped and ready to go for all our upcoming birthdays ✅ (Future-me is thrilled with past-me cos there's ALOT 😂)

🎄 And yes… Christmas mode has begun. Shopping is nearly done, the music has begun and if I had my way the decorations would already be up, but apparently "it’s too early" 🤣

Today we've been splashing in muddy puddles, making birthday cakes brownies and special memories, as well as getting some decluttering done.

✨ Hello October ✨

September always feels like a fresh start with all of the back to school hype and in our house it really was. Dan's back to work full time, Amelia started "full time" childcare, I started a new job and Teds road to recovery really began. We sneaked away for a wet but wholesome break with my inlaws to the lake district. We've also celebrated their ruby wedding anniversary, our 4th anniversary and Mr W's bday yesterday.

🍂 Autumn is official here as we've had our first spider in the house 🕷

🎄 Christmas Planning:
Christmas took a bit of a back seat this month but I've a new app to share with you all that should help your planning! I'm planning to gather my thoughts and make a plan for the rest of the gifts

🎃 Halloween:
This is my least favourite holiday of the year but we've got lots of activities planned and I've pinned lots of outdoor crafts to try which I'll share with you all.

🎂 Celebrations:
Birthday and party plans for Amelia are well under way. We have lots of family birthdays coming up too so trying to stay on top by ordering in advanced. I'll share my tips in a post on how I stay on top of birthdays

🗞 Life Lately:
- I finally got my formal Combined ADHD diagnosis, and need to go back to the GP about the Autism element as it wasn't covered. Its nice to have confirmation and not feel like an imposter anymore!
- Decluttering has completely stalled since the summer but I'm back at it with fresh energy!
- The routines I put in place at home over the summer are going really well and I'll be sharing more of them with you very soon!

Only took us 3 attempts at getting married but we finally got there in the end, who'd have known how adventurous those 4 years would be 🤣🙈

You've held me together and kept me sane while my brain and body have literally reconfigured themselves over the past 2.5 years and I'm forever thankful for your love and patience

August has been such a wholesome and productive month.
- We’ve made core family memories 🥰
- decluttered the shed (there's even floor space 👏)
- refreshed our routines to support my ADHD,
- We even tackled office + wardrobe organisation.

Little changes, big differences!

❄️ Winter Prep – Complete!
Logs are stacked, Amelia’s all kitted out for chilly adventures, and it feels amazing knowing we’re prepared before the cold sets in.

🎄 Christmas Planning
I’m almost done shopping for the kids and it feels so good heading into the BER months with that weight off my shoulders. A little reminder: it’s never too early to start—whether that’s saving regularly or slowly ticking off gifts. Future you will thank you!

🎂 Celebrations
This month we’re celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary, Dan’s birthday, and have Amelia’s party booked later this year. Lots of special moments to look forward to.

🗞 Life Lately
- I started a new job today (same company, new role)
- I finally have a date for my ADHD assessment
- Dan is heading back to full-time work (bittersweet, but we’re grateful for the time he had at home)
- Ted’s been diagnosed with IMPA—he’s on treatment + a new diet, and we’re thankful for good vets + insurance 🐶
- Amelia starts extra days with her childminder, she's going to have SO much fun 💖

We feel so fortunate for the support we’ve had with childcare this year—it’s helped us all, and Amelia is thriving.

✨ Hello August! ✨

July was a whirlwind 🤪 Amelia’s officially in her “Grandad & Nana Strawberry” 🍓 era (yes, that’s what she calls my parents now 😂), Grandad's garden has saved me a small fortune supplying her berry addicition. She's contantly singing, dancing, smashing her way through so many jigsaws — our little clever clogs is certainly keeping us on our toes. Tantrums are now NEXT level. Thankfully getting her to use her “listening ears” is kinda working… for now! 🙈

Lets talk digital decluttering!

I am on a mission this year to declutter my home life and mind of everything that I no longer need, that no longer serves me and that includes my digital footprint.

Prompted by an ever slowing phone... I decided I should really back it up only to realise I have like 439GB of images and videos on there 😬 no wonder its running slow! My google drive was also getting pretty full so this morning I set up the laptop, plugged in my hard drive and set about transferring all my prescious memories onto the drive... only to notice I already had over 500gb on my hard drive already.

This morning I've decluttered the documents and music files (yes, you read that right 🤣) and deleted loads of school... if I didnt need it in the last 20 years I figure I wont need it in the next 20.

My phones been plugged in for about 3 hours transferring content 🙈 so I've called it a day and tomorrow I plan to finish transferring the images and videos, then declutter and organise them properly.

My husband works in IT and he cant believe how much junk I had stored 🙈 and I must say its mostly because I've not had time to sort them and not because I'm a digital hoarder.

I really must get into a better habit of digital archiving so it doesn't get this bad and take this long again 🙈

Does anyone have any tips on how they store their photos and video for quick access? Because this is usually why I put off transferring them
