We Wait Together - from Dilnot Johnson composer 📖

'We Wait Together: Stories & Pictures From Those Seeking Refuge'. This children’s book is a compilation of images and words collected by Liz in her recent work with people living in emergency accommodation. All proceeds from the book will go towards the continuation of the project working creatively with people with lived experience of seeking refuge. Ruth Forecast, chair of Malvern Welcomes (refugee support charity) said: "Liz has the ability to bring people together to share a positive experience. The young people from the 'We wait together' project appeared to be so proud to be invited. It is so important for them to know that, despite the hostile atmosphere we hear about in our media, so many people in the UK welcome them and that they respect and value them. The book is beautifully produced and very powerful. Hearing Abdullah and Wael perform is always so moving. Their musicianship grows with each concert. "
