On the 3rd November 2023, we welcomed our first beautiful granddaughter into the world. She was perfect in every way. However due to complications and intensive medical treatment and care for two whole days, she just wasn’t strong enough to stay with us.

Since then, my son has done all he can to raise money for the charity called ‘Held in our hearts’ who helped both him and Jess through their so very difficult time.

He has completed the west highland way in the freezing cold with Jess.

Kayaked 100km coast to coast in Scotland from Fort William to Inverness.
Each night camping along the banks which was brutal in the cold winds.

Completed the Edinburgh marathon.

Climbed Ben Nevis, solo.

Cycled coast to coast .

And finally in training for a charity boxing match soon, which I have every confidence that he will smash it.

After reading this, if it touches your heart in anyway, please, and only if you can, find your way to help him raise even more to help others who have gone through one of the most traumatic times in their lives.
