Of course, budget is a major factor to consider when booking a Florist. But you should probably know....
.
.
..that you won't receive like for like quotes.
When you're chatting with your partner and trying to decide on which Florist to pick, and you have the different quotes in front of you, it's important to know that one florists price for a bridal bouquet, is based on something completely different from the other's.
We all design differently. We have different flower preferences. Our creative process is different. One florist may give a more in depth service than the other. The list goes on!
So if you find yourself thinking 'we'll go with that Florist because we can get all the items we want within our budget', just stop and think again. Is it really going to look like you dreamt of? Are you likely to get the level of service that you need?
Just weigh up all the factors before deciding who fits you best, because you deserve the best wedding for you ๐ฅฐ
If you like a Florists style, enjoy meeting with them and feel confident in them, strongly consider booking them!

I realise that cost is a huge consideration when booking your suppliers...
Of course it is. I mean we don't all have celebrity budgets. But... Surely you want a Florist who is going to be available for you and who has good communication too?
After we have our consultation, you'll receive an itemised quote within 30 minutes of our meeting ending. I can do this because I have been doing this 13 years now and know how much my designs cost, as well as having an organised system in place so that even by the end of the consultation, I can give you a rough idea of costs and help you through any questions or decisions surrounding that (which centrepiece option should I go for etc).
You absolutely should visit 2 or 3 Florists so that you can weigh up your options, but, those options also include -
๐ธHow much you get on with that Florist
๐ธWhether you like their ideas
๐ธIf you feel confident in their ability to create your vision
๐ธIf they're going to help make your planning easy/enjoyable
DM me for a date check if all of the above sounds good to you.

I've been experimenting lately...
I'm not anti foam (that funny green stuff you design flowers in, for those that don't know), but I do want to make some better, more environmentally friendly decisions in my business, and part of that is reducing use of Florist foam.
Being a wedding florist is fast paced and costs have to be controlled, so it's not as simple as just giving up foam. I've had to spend months experimenting with different methods and mechanics so that I'm comfortable enough with it from a business point of view but crucially that I'm confident that it'll do a good job for you, my clients.
I pretty happy with the results! You'll see more of this in the future ๐ค

Did you know...
There are no true white roses? Honestly, I wish there was as it'd make my job a lot easier. But they've all got a tinge of ivory, cream, off white etc.
Yes, I know you've seen pictures of them on Pinterest, but believe me, they look white because of the light, or the editing etc.
But don't fret! These roses will still look beautiful against your dress, especially if you let your florist choose other white flowers to mix it with. Such as Orchids, Lisianthus or Phlox for example.
There are some roses that come fairly close to white though. Playa Blanca, White Cloud, Alabaster and Tibet.
Let your Florist worry about varieties though, and just communicate your vision for it to be as light as possible.
Thanks to @helenrussellphotography for the beautiful images in this reel.

You know when you're planning a wedding, and you're sitting there thinking 'where on earth do I start?!'. So you look at magazines, Pinterest, go to wedding shows, get advice from friends who are married etc etc, and you just get caught up in this flow of booking things just because people say you're supposed to have them at a wedding?
STOP!
Only spend your money on something if it's important to you and it lights you up.
(P.S. if that's flowers, you're in the right place)
If you're not that bothered about flowers, don't spend much on them, or anything at all!
For some people, they might adore Cake ๐ฐ๐, great, out a large portion of your budget towards getting an absolute whopper of a dream cake.
For some people, it might be important to have a custom fitted designer gown. Fantastic! Book some trips to London to have someone amazing like Suzanne Neville create a 'fitted to perfection' gown just for you.
Whatever it is, prioritise your budget towards that, and don't spend so much on the things that don't matter to you.
It's your day and it should be how you want it.
What's your wedding must haves?

I just ๐ซถ๐ซถ๐ซถ couples like this. Music to my ears!
Not only do they end up getting the best wedding displays possible and not have the stress of micro managing everything, but I'm one happy Florist too!
There's no bigger compliment to a creative person, than this, and we get such a buzz from creating for you.
It switches thoughts from 'theyve asked for this standard design we offer' to more of 'ooo what will blow their minds and look great at their venue'. The result is magic and feels amazing for both of us! (Especially when you cry at how amazing everything is ๐)

City centre glam for Holly & Mark at The Vermont Hotel, Newcastle today!
And about time too. This lovely couple booked me way back in 2019 and we all know what happened after that! So I'm so happy to finally be setting up their gorgeous wedding today. As an added plus, the @vermontnewcastle is only 5 minutes drive from my workshop, so no hour long drives to and from Northumberland for me!
Great to see the girls from @theeventdressers again too!

Put your stamp on it!
That's exactly what Helen & Dexter did at Wylam Brewery today.
Honestly the place looked amazing (if I do say so myself!)
The hall at Wylam Brewery is quite a blank canvas and the couple were stuck for ideas for the aisle and chairs, so we came up with this meadow, which will then be used in front of the top table after the ceremony, so they get to appreciate it all day!
There were a lot of locally grown or British flowers involved in this wedding too, including some bluebells which were very sentimental to the couple.
The lovely Jo from @lovejoceremonies gets to stand on front of that arch and marry 2 beautiful people in stunning sunny weather today.
Supplier love to -
@_vintageandflowers for supplying me with some gorgeous British blooms
@bramble_and_bloom_x and @thewildirisfloraldesign for freelancing.
Lauren from Wylam Brewery just for being amazing.
Tina Elliott Hair Styling and @carolynclaytonhair for providing extra glamour at 8am on a Saturday morning.
Looking forward to seeing the pro shots from @Erikatanithphotography and Abigail Grace Videography
