Let me tell you â the last two weeks have been a test.
â Car broke down AND failed MOT
â Then locked myself out of said car
â Hayfever face puffed up like a balloon a few times (allergic reaction: 4, Ellen: 0)
â Shoulder back to square one and brushing my hair KILLS!
BUTâŠ
I could take a day off to recover.
Iâve booked a physio, acupuncture and the docs because Iâm not stuck with 9â5.
Iâm going to sports day and the talent show without begging a boss for permission.
And I get to do summer on my own terms (mostly⊠with snacks, wine and a spreadsheet).
Being self-employed can be A LOT.
But it also means you get options.
And if the last two weeks have taught me anything? That flexibility is everything.
Whether itâs taking an unexpected day off or dodging a meltdown with a long lunch.
