Good morning, wonderful followers! Can you believe how quickly December has arrived? Time seems to be flying by! Apologises for our recent social media silence. Managing it isn't exactly a skill of mine, but rest assured, we've been working away behind the scenes to create something truly special for you.

It's finally October (our birthday month) Bonnie is now 9 years young 🐶 and we are ready for the countdown to all the fun this month has in store!

Scottish weather, how would you describe it? Sunny? Cold? Rains alot? We live in one of the best places in the world but let's face it Scottish weather can be pretty unpredictable 😔. You can easily get 4 seasons in a day and no matter what Mr weather man tells me, I normally do the old fashioned thing of looking out the window in the morning to check what's going on (thanks to our neighbours tree) ⬅️ that gives me a indication of how windy it is 🤣.

This weekend we set up for a special 21st birthday and this is where our bell tents come in super handy. If you are having an event and haven't got the extra room inside or want a back up just in case the weather changes. They're great for adults and kids for sleepovers, dining, picnics, chill out area, weddings, hens, birthdays...

Our bell tent season is from May to Oct so we haven't got long before our beautiful bells have their final clean and are packed away until next year.

I can't believe that it's the start of the summer holidays already, anyone else feel like this year is whizzing by? Summer is filling up fast but we still have a few spaces for indoor sleepovers which are great for doing something extra special with the kids when they are wanting their besties over. Our gorgeous bell tents are perfect for end of term parties, sleepovers, family gatherings, weddings, birthdays, picnics, hen parties... The list is endless.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of setting up a special belated birthday sleepover for Freya and her friends. This is of of our favourite sleepover themes.

All of our themes can be done as a indoor sleepover or in one of our beautiful 5m bell tents which is perfect for the coming months. We love being creative so if there is something that your child loves for example mermaids and lions we would be delighted to come up with something that is totally unique for them.

Looking for a fun breakfast idea for Easter? Pancakes are always a favourite in our house. Here's our recipe 👇

Bunny Pancakes 🐇

50g - Wholemeal flour
50g - Self raising flour
2 x Eggs (local farm bought are the best)
150ml - Semi skimmed milk (we used Brose oat milk in ours)
Banana slices, raisin or blueberries for bunny feet.
Oil for frying
Fresh fruit & Nutella for extras.

Sift the flour into a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Crack the eggs into the well and whisk. Gradually add the milk and continue whisking, until you have a smooth batter. If possible leave to rest for half an hour.

When ready to start cooking preheat the oven to 110°C, 90°C fan.

Add oil to the frying pan and warm on the hob, over medium heat. Add a couple of tbsp of the batter to the pan, tipping gently until it coats the base in a thin layer. Cook for 1-2 mins, or until golden, then carefully flip the pancake over and cook the underside for 1 min more. Repeat with the rest of the batter mix until finished adding a little more oil if needed.

Once you have finished you can use a cookie cutter to make the bunnies feet and cut half of one of the pancakes for the ears.

Hey, Hi, Hello and Welcome!

I thought it was about time I showed my face. I'm Melissa but I always get called Missy and this is my new little biz Bonnie Bells. That's me at the front and my big sis behind me, my No 1 fan and the one that always inspires me. It's her birthday today so she deserves some love as she is a all round AMAZING human being!

I live in the beautiful town called North Berwick (The Shire) to some, with my partner, 15 year old son and our big German Shepherd called Bonnie, yes I named the business after our dog 🤣.

Before Bonnie Bells I worked in hospitality for many years and was involved in a restoration project of a old auction mart building (one of the last of its kind in Scotland).

☕I am a lover of tea and biscuits, I can't start the day without a cuppa.
🏙️ I was born in Hackney, people could never understand me because of my strong cockney accent so I now sound scotttish 🤣.
🚘 when I was younger I wanted to be a mechanic.

I am a bit camera shy so you won't see my face too often but I am always at the end of the phone for a chat if you have any questions for any of your party planning ideas.
