Today, I’m giving my dog’s food packaging a second life. It’s made from wool, and did you know wool is an amazing insulator? Perfect for keeping things cozy this winter. 🌟

SOAKED IN SEPTEMBER 🌧️

Septembers rain didn’t hold back this year, and neither did I! Despite the torrential downpours, sometimes you’ve just got to embrace the storm. Soaked, but still standing—here’s to weathering whatever the season throws our way!

Not only did September leave me soaked, but I also got the joy of pushing a van out of the swampy mud today!🌧️☔️Let’s just say, it was a full adventure in this downpour. Anyone else feel like they’ve been training for a rain marathon this month?
Any great suggestions for waterproofs bib n braces?

EUCALYPTUS PARVAFOLIA

Feeling very proud! Watching my eucalyptus thrive! 🌿
Sown from seed in 16/2/23, and it’s grown beautifully since then.
Delighted to see how much it’s flourished in the last 18 months.
It’s come a long way, potted on today into 5 litre pots and keeping warm by the south facing wall.
I have 19 of them 🤔 lots of foliage…

We tackled the neglected tomato jungle tonight and discovered treasures!!!!
Cut back the leaves and have ruby red delights to saviour…
My favourite way to enjoy them…
On hot toast for breakfast with lots of black pepper 😋

Plant at the right time, they need a period of cold for best results, I planted 21st December.

Best bulb size, go as big as you can, these were 12+

Water in periods of dry weather, we’ve been spoilt rotten this winter😂

Other benefits when you choose to buy local are best selection of bloom, tightly closed in bud stage for best longevity, NO CHEMICALS involved, it’s a bug eat bug world here in the field 🐞🐛
Strong sturdy stems, huge flower heads, a variety of unusual colours not only on the outside but also inside the petals themselves.

A SNEAK PEAK!

My first 3 Salmon Van Eijk tulips have been pulled!!
I couldn’t resist and gifted them…
Planted 21st December much later as the weather was mild, they needed a cool period to develop a beautiful flower.

I’m hoping by the weekend they’re ready for market, if you’re near Creaton, Guilsborough in Northampton you’re in for a treat!
