We've partnered with The Forum, Norwich for a musical takeover this December, and we are excited to offer the chance to perform to both in-school music groups and other performance or community groups!

Lunchtime classes are back on at The Forum 🀩

Drop-in tomorrow at 12.30pm for a 40 min guided meditation.
Each class will begin with a relaxing breathing meditation, followed by a short talk and then the class will conclude with another meditation.

Advance warning - the Early Years Library at the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library will be closing at 4pm tomorrow (Tuesday 10 September) to set up for our Summer Reading Challenge ceremony. The Early Years area will then be open from 4:45pm for those who have signed up to receive their certificates and medals at the ceremony, but will remain closed to the general public until the ceremony is complete (due to be 6pm).

This is a bookable event - if you have not booked and were hoping to come along, please chat to staff in-library or email [email protected] and we can add you to the list.

Today sees the beginning of England's largest festival of history and culture.

From Friday 6 to Sunday 15 September, the Norfolk Heritage Open Days programme offers an incredible array of over 300 free events across the county, with more than 150 drop-in events – so you can just pop by to enjoy!

The 10 day celebration showcases Norfolk's vibrant history, from its lost industries to its thriving cultural landmarks, making it the perfect occasion for families, friends and individuals to try something new – and all for free.

VISIBLE, Norfolk's Neurodiversity Festival

We hope to see some of you during the festival... there is lots on:

In The Gallery you'll find the VIP Area (open to all) which showcases the stories of our Visible Inclusion Partners. This area also offers a calming/quiet space (in addition to the library) away from the main Atrium (9am to 5pm)

In The Atrium there will be lots of exhibitors, including local charities and businesses that are passionate about neuroinclusion. There is also the chance to take part in a neuroinclusion study on the topic of employment and recruitment (9am to 5pm)

In the Auditorium there will be 'Visible Voices', which offers a range of talks/presentations (10am to 3pm)... full listings/timings in the pic attached.

There is also a banner at the exit with a QR code which we hope visitors will use to give us their feedback... so that we can continue to grow and improve the event year on year.

Positive Minds - a mental Health Fair for Young people is coming to The Forum, Norwich - and Norfolk Libraries will be there!

Hosted by Norwich YAB in partnership with MAP Youth Charity, there will be over 30 stalls offering advice to young people on how to look after their mental health. Norfolk Libraries will be there with a selection of books tailored for young people, covering different aspects of mental health wellbeing.
