Friday 25th April at The Old Cold Store

SEAS OF MIRTH
* * * * * * * * * * * * *
10.30 pm

Seas of Mirth are a high energy multi-genre band with an interactive deep sea twist... from the East Midlands! Fronted by two co-founding guitarists Al Judders and C Ball Paul, the band dabble in everything from worldly dance beats to wonky disco funk to psychey prog-folk, while the visual element is full on too with UV lights, bubbles, flamboyant white costumes and LED sea creatures on stage and in the crowd.. plus a traditional tug of war for good measure. It’s one big sensory experience that has gone down a treat for many years now at festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Bearded Theory, Nozstock, Isle of Wight, Lindisfarne, Beat Herder, Maui Waui and Camp Bestival.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Sat 11th January at

STUART PEARCE
9.45 pm

The Midlands’ premier beat combo. Composite: dialectical materialism w/conventional instrumentation “As a Forest fan, I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t got around to seeing the band before! The already packed room seemed to suddenly expand and make room as more folks arrived, eager for them to take the stage. It may have been cold outside but The Chameleon crowd were turning up the heat for this sold out occasion and the chance to see their final Nottingham show in 2023. How best to describe the Stuart Pearce band: I’m settling for ‘The Fall if they were still around’, a band I’ve always loved. An explosion of brash aggression and raw sounds, think of Mark E Smith on one of his best nights and you’re somewhere near these guys. Raucous Rock collides with gritty chaos; however the anarchistic sounds are all managed into a near perfect delivery every time. If you’re making a list of must see bands in 2024, please consider these guys at the top. “ - /

NERVOUS TWITCH
9.00 pm

Stalwarts of the Leeds music scene, lovely people and a must for fans of The Beatles, Shangri-Las, The Kinks, The Ronettes, TV Personalities, Jesus and Mary Chain.

CRY ABOUT IT

We hope most of you are off work or about to be and have a bit of a break coming up , hats off and massive gratitude and respect to anyone working through!! 👊

Thank you to every band who played for us, bought a ticket, attended and shared our gigs, booked us as promoters, worked for us, ran our workshops, interned and helped us out this year. Life is change, embrace it but be vigilant, challenge unfairness, f**k war , protest, look out for your loved ones and always talk to people if you’re struggling.

The music never stops (it just gets remixed), if you’re lucky enough to have family around for Christmas, cherish them and remember the good times and honour the memories of the people you love who are no longer with us.

Homelessness has risen to record levels, and their Street Outreach Teams are finding more and more people in desperate need every single day.

If anyone wants to show their support for what we do then we’d ask you to donate to via the link below and help some people who really really need it right now.
