Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Meads

6 years ago you put your trust in me to do your wedding flowers, my first big order from bouquets to venue décor. I loved every minute of making your flowers. Now it is one of my most popular designs. Also, I was so honoured to be a bridesmaid.

Something a bit different - little bouquets ready to be wrapped for my daughter’s teacher gifts.

These would be really sweet for a letterbox gift, wedding favours, baby shower gifts, the list could go on. Something I’ve been working on in the midst of wedding bouquets 😉

Sneak peek of something I’ve been working on this week…

My handmade wedding bouquet. Made with artificial sunflowers, cornflower blue ribbon roses, hessian roses and organza roses. I added a touch of sparkle with brooches.

My inspiration came from a wedding fair where I fell in love with brooch bouquets - which were expensive but I appreciated the cost. I researched how to make brooch bouquets and came across all ways to make flowers. Roll on hours of YouTube videos and practicing ribbon roses.

Would I change it now? Well to be honest there are aspects of the bouquet which aren’t to my taste now but it tied in with our wedding perfectly. We had a rustic, beer themed wedding with a colour palette of yellow, cornflower blue, light blue and natural tones. The organza and sparkle matched my dress, the hessian roses, yellow and blue complimented my table runners and beer bottles dressing the tables. So the answer is no I don’t think I would.

Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary to us - Mr & Mrs Winfield.

Who knew that DIY-ing our wedding would lead to have lots of love for flowers and now I get to make flowers for other peoples weddings!

Keep a look out for this week for a little insight to my wedding projects. Although we wasn’t on a budget all the things I did cut the cost dramatically. And actually we spent more on our honeymoon than our wedding in the end!

A vision come to life. My brief - sunflowers, burgundy flowers, autumnal colours with a mixture of flowers.

Sometimes you have a vision but find it hard to find an example. I love it when my vision and the customers vision is exactly what they were looking for. I can't wait to make these flowers next year.
