We have been busy this week having some time off, recuperating form the worst hangovers ever, and scheming and plotting to see what to do next… more on that later. In the meantime here are the gag worthy photos from our very first Shablam! On Sundays. We would like to take this time to thank the outstanding people who really helped make our vision for Shablam! come to life. First of all, the performers for taking a chance on us, and performing in the sweltering heat. There are not enough words for us to use to say thank you to everyone who attended yesterday, plus the celebratory hangover has taken over. Meet

Kenya, the dancing diva of Birmingham, will be gracing our stage on May 12th, to show us all what it means to Shablam!
Not only can Kenya put on a show as herself, but she’s one of the UK’s premier drag performers, as well as the drag artist of the year at the 2021 Pride Ball Awards. We look forward to having her killer beauty and death defying dance moves grace our stage on May 12th

The official Shablam! on Sundays after party will be held at The New Foresters, one of our favourite Q***r venues in Nottingham 💕 All Shablam! ticket holders will have free entry to Nottinghams oldest LGBTQ+ venue to carry on the party, so we can Shablam together all Sunday long. Let’s keep supporting local Q***r venues as much as possible 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Meet .so.vayne

Nottingham’s premier Supermodel is a fine addition to the Shablam! on Sundays line up. Known for her stylish fashion looks, her aerodynamic death drops and as the Nottingham brunch scenes favourite princess.

Vayne was a finalist in the Nottingham Drag Pageant 2022 and 2023 and was one fo the first performers to grace the stage at Groovebox Pride with Sminty drop, Tayce and Danny Beard.

Vayne is a regular not only on the Nottingham scene but also nationwide and we cant wait to see what she has in store for us on the 12th.

Meet

Norwich drag royalty and Nottinghams hairiest queen Liv, joins the Shablam! family as Captain of the ship for our inaugural event, keeping everyone entertained, in line and on time..

Liv started working the scene in 2017 and has gone on to produce multiple events including the Nottingham Drag Pageant, Caberet Liberate, as well as being the reigning queen on the Hockley brunch scene. All of these events showcasing the full spectrum of q***rness, gender and artistyy as well as bringing sass, wit and one hell of a hairy chest to the stage.

Liv is also a multiple award winning artist and producer and can alas be found in and out of drag serving pints and lewks at one of our fave venues the Lord Roberts, where she also has a monthly Thursday night residency.

Meet

Ridiculous, rancid and beautiful, Nana Arthole appeared fully formed under a stack of mouldy Women’s Weekly’s in 2013. Starting out as a DJ and host in the Nottingham club-scene, Nana quickly took to the stage to give her theatre and comedy background a long overdue birthday, soon becoming known for a quick wit that blends both the dark and the adorable. A fully qualified, self-certified entertainer, if you name it, she’s convinced she can do it! Her wicked charm and flexible skill-set has given her the opportunity to work alongside some of the biggest names in the drag world, as well as appear on big telly more than once. The ladder in her tights is the Stennah Stairlift to purgatory – so why don’t you join this endlessly talented and delusional queen on her ride towards the lowest hanging star!
