Let the summer holidays commence 🫶🌊☀️

Yay for the holidays!

I have officially finished work for 6 weeks so (hopefully) I can spend some time sharing photos of all the stationery I've been busy making.

Working, parenting and running a business is bloody hard work 😂

I have seen so many photos from the day and it looked absolutely amazing. Sophie you looked stunning and Dave, you didn't have scrub up well 😜!

Styling by Nikita was epic with Sophie and Dave's colour choice of pine green, gold and black looking just unbelievable.

Is when you spend all week cutting vinyl for signs and everything works perfectly...

Then you get up the next morning too complete the final sign (for a while) and your cricut decides...meh, I can't be arsed today, I don't wanna play, I don't like these settings anymore, go f**k yourself!

Hi there 🙋

So, here's the thing...I'm still here! There haven't been any media posts from me since New Year's Day.

I'm having a real battle with myself. Not stationery wise but social media wise. I just cannot be faffed with having to think about posting pictures all the time of what I'm working on. I'm not a face for TV or voice for radio person so won't, and quite frankly don't, have the patience for making reels and lives and videos on here.

I thought I wanted to give up stationery, I want the space in my house back, I can't keep up with Insta and Facebook, I can't attend current wedding fairs I've been asked to due to family events, I want a quieter life. What's the point?

Instead, since not posting, I've had more couples contact me for invitations and stationery than ever before. I am working with some of the most incredible brides and grooms and making some of the most gorgeous stationery ever and the majority of these couples haven't seen my recent socials, it's been word of mouth so...

I'm still here! Quietly working behind the scenes on your beautiful ideas and designs. If you are interested and think 'She hasn't posted in a while, has she given up?' No, I haven't. You can still contact me, I can send photos of anything you want to see, ideas I've been working on, I can still work with you via email and WhatsApp and you can still hand out your fabulous stationery at the end of the process, just as before.

But that 10 mins spent thinking about what I'm going to post on socials, overthinking it and then getting overwhelmed by it all is, for me, better spent in the outdoors walking my dog, or having 5 mins peace with a cuppa. Maybe I'll post more again soon. Maybe I won't.

But I'm still here!

Quietly working away behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who has ordered lately, I'm so busy and so grateful. After last week's little scare, I've been knocked down by a horrible cough and cold and very under the weather. Thank you all for your patience whilst I'm getting better.

Just a little awareness post here...for the love of God, if you have bo***es...CHECK THEM!

Apologies to my brides and grooms for being a little quieter than usual and slower to respond. All is ok so back to business and I'll be in touch over the next few days BUT...

Check those bo***es in the shower, lay on the bed, watching telly, walking past the mirror, in the work toilets, wherever you have to when no one is looking! Don't think about it doing it later or never, like me, do it! NOW!

Because there is no worse feeling than finding a lump, being referred, receiving a letter like this and then playing the waiting game...whether you're a full blown hyperchondriac like me, or not, it's human nature that you will spend two weeks absolutely fearing the worst and imagining what it could be.

Thankfully, after much fondling by many people, a mammogram (they don't hurt!) and an ultrasound, my lumps are just that. Lumps! Normal b***y lumps. Nothing sinister, nothing else, just lovely lady lumps.

But my heart, 100% well and truly goes out to anyone's who's lumps are more. It's honestly been the scariest two weeks of my life and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Forever thankful to my absolute rock, my husband for being there for me, every step of the way.

And to the amazing doctors and nurses at Brierley Forest Medical Centre and Kings Mill Hospital who do not mess around when it comes to things like this. 💕

A new re-introduction post due to a few new followers! Thank you!

Choosing someone to make your wedding stationery isn't an easy job so here's some information to help you decide whether I'm the right person for you.

1. I have over 7 years of stationery expertise. Professionally though, I've been doing this for 4 years. I have the tools, the flair and the creative know how.

2. I am passionate about YOUR ideas. I turn your visions into reality. I guide and advise you along the way. You are supplied unlimited proofs of your design and all the aspects of your stationery are discussed before I make, put it all together for you and wrinkle out any problems along the way.

3. In the past I've been told I undercharge. I still probably do. I'm not here to rip you off. I will work to your budget, to the best of my ability. That saying, if you want invitations with all the glitter, foil, embellishments, ribbon and triple layered...it's not going to be cheap and they will take time to make. I'll help you adapt as much as possible.

4. I have NEVER made the same set of stationery twice. Every single person who has come to me has a different style and idea and being bespoke usually means your set of stationery will be unique to you!

5. I have over 100 5 star reviews! Too good to be true, right? Not really!
My reviews are from clients who have appreciated the experience of me working alongside them and listening to them to create their dream stationery, much more personal than ordering from the internet.

6. 'I bet most of those reviews are from friends and family!' Some are, yes. Still paying customers though who received the same treatment as anyone who books with me!

7. Will I try and get you to order more stuff? I mean, I'm running a business to make money, become rich and retire at 40, right? NOPE! I work part-time too. My business is more of a hobby. A hobby that I am bloody good at. I'm creative, I like to make stuff and I like to help others.

8. Will I tell you certain wedding stationery (like Save The Dates) are an absolute waste of time? Yep! I'll make anything you want, if you really want them, but I'll also tell you to spend that money elsewhere ON something you really want, like your five tier wedding cake or that amazing acoustic band you love!

9. What can I do for for you?
I can offer you a tailored, personal, one to one experience, sharing my knowledge and ideas and taking on board all of yours. I offer stylish, affordable invitations within your budget that look spectacular and give your guests the first glimpse of what your special day will look like!

10. You can book with me for a deposit of £50. This secures your production slot and once your design idea is secure, is taken from the final balance. You don't even have to meet me. I have worked with couples from Ireland, Scotland, London and even overseas. If you do want to meet me, I offer one to one consultations from my little studio.

'Well, where do I start. I was lucky enough to see Jode’s work in person when a friend had wedding stationary from her. I was blown away with the quality and perfection on every aspect I knew from then on who was going to do my wedding stationary. From the moment of inquiring Jode was so wonderfully enthusiastic, warm and professional. I've waited FOREVER to be able to share this gorgeous set of stationery. The bride had so much input in these, already having designed the layout, fonts and wording herself before asking me to bring it all together. Using whites and grey's for a subtle, classic look, we layered linen card, vellum and @wowvownow's handmade envelopes to create texture and depth with the bride supplying her own wax stamp and envelope press for the little finishing touches.
