I have spent hours at home pouring over flower colour combinations, often fearing if someone watching on would think I was mad. I’ve sometimes wondered myself too.
So, I am reassured (and delighted!) that @willowcrossleycreates appreciates the nuances.
I’d happily say the tonal match between the tulip and the viola ranunculus was an accident, but anyone who knows me, will know otherwise. I do get rather consumed in the detail.
I planted my tulips late this year, so I still have some fabulous varieties to come. They’re open to the air but have transparent lids to protect them from the rain so fortunately they haven’t been battered by the rain. I also have a whole crop of ranunculus in a polytunnel about to bloom and others grown outside which will follow.
