We’re getting ready to welcome exciting pioneers of classical and world music, the Kosmos Ensemble to Parbold Village Hall this Saturday at 7.45pm.

Meg-Rosaleen Hamilton is a Millennium Award winning violist and violinist, and has a varied career in classical and traditional music.

She’Koyokh has showcased Meg as a violinist and Balkan music specialist throughout UK and Europe on stages such as Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Brighton Dome, and WOMAD festivals, and the group has released four critically acclaimed studio albums worldwide.

Her musical travels have taken her through Bulgaria to music festivals in the mountains and Gabrovo to study the Gadulka. With a Finzi Trust Travel grant she studied in Romania with lautarii (Roma musicians) and renowned Moldovan Gypsy violinist Marin Bunea. She played the fiddler’s music for the Fiddler On The Roof production which was selected for a West End run.
