A happy new year from all of us at Long Acre Barn ! 🫶🏼

It’s been a busy and wonderful 2024, we’ve had a blast hosting all our fabulous couples, plus the parties, Pilates & Nowt Daft 😌

We’re so looking forward to hosting this year’s lovely new weddings and events!

Meet Mikey - our resident coffee roaster here at Long Acre Barn.

Mikey started earlier this year, in between his day job working as a dry stone waller.

Safe to say this small specialist coffee roasting business which has grown rather speedily!!! It’s local, proper, down-to-earth coffee with the environment put first. It seems the locals can’t get enough, nor can we…

Better still, he has the coolest coffee cart which is a great addition to any wedding or event. Wedding day coffees or morning after recovery breakfasts - Bean & Dunne has you covered.

Couldn’t recommend this enough as an addition to your day. Please do get in touch for more info or have a nosey at his insta and even bag yourself some beans!

Burns Night is back in 2025 ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🥃

Come join us on the 25th January for a night of poetry, eating, music and dancing💃🏼

Tickets are £25 each and includes a full traditional Burns Night supper, ceilidh dancing with , a complimentary dram of whiskey, plus poetry recitals for added atmospheric entertainment!

All proceeds will be going to and 💚

Christmas carols anyone? 🎄

The Middle Eden Voices will be singing at Long Acre on the 14th of December, ready to serenade us with some beautiful carols, and truly get us in the mood for the festive season ✨

Plus, there will be delicious pizzas and warming mulled wine provided by 🍕 🍷

Starting at 6pm - all are welcome, it will be £5 entry, with all proceeds going to the incredible Northern Oesopha-gastric unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. 🫶🏼

We don’t post nearly enough pictures of the Granary, so it’s lovely to get to see these ones from Jane and Oliver’s wedding!

The Granary is a truly versatile space, it can be used for getting ready the morning of, a more intimate wedding ceremony, a cosy space for elderly relatives to relax & chat, a place to play with the children - and so much more. It really comes into its own during the colder months, where you can sit and relax in the comfy armchairs, next to the warm log burner. 😌

💫🌲WREATH WORKSHOPS 🌲💫

We’re back with the fabulous Fellside wreath workshops, and this year I’m very excited to be inviting you to the wonderful Long Acre Barn.

After a little (puppy) break last year I can’t wait to be surrounded by festive foliage, twinkly lights and friends old and new to get creative.

So what have we got planned? In the warm & cosy barn I’ll guide you to weave a simple base from our home-grown willow, then dress it with fresh foliage and natural decorations harvested, dried & gathered from the farm. is serving up delicious savoury & sweet treats and mulled drinks.
