Hello! We are joining in this year's Christmas Sparkle light switch on event this Saturday, November 16th. Penrith Library will have a children's story time between 1.30pm and 2pm and then a festive card making drop in between 2pm and 3pm! No need to book, just head to the children's area in Penrith Library.

We also need anyone visiting Penrith Library to colour in some hands! Now let me explain... The team from Penrith BID and Penrith Town Council will be making Christmas trees out of hands for their branches. So let's make these trees really full and colour in a hand today!

Charity Tractor Parade Route... 🚜🚜🚜🚜 Sat 16th Nov

This year we not only go through a huge crowd of folk but you get to...
Head into town through your own street or village...
Gather together at UCC...
Parade through smiling faces...
Then go again!! Two laps...

Each vehicle then parks up for everyone to admire the effort you've put in! Last year we had so many kids getting pics with each one, standing in awe of the huge things!!! 😲🤩 Blimin' glorious feeling!

Please help us raise some dosh for an important local service while making this Community event glow!❤️

Penrith's Christmas Window Sparkle Awards 2024

Penrith.Town are inviting businesses across Penrith, in the town centre, the town’s industrial estates and the many other locations businesses are located across the town to take part in this years Penrith's Christmas Window Sparkle Award.

If your business would like to be part of the Penrith.Town Christmas Display trail and listed on our map for people to once again vote for their favourite then email [email protected] with your business name address and a contact number.

Penrith's local businesses can again join in the festive fun by creating amazing, captivating Christmas window displays through Penrith. Creating magical Christmas scenes throughout the town for locals and visitors to enjoy.

Penrith.Town are again make it even more exciting following last years trail and public vote. Penrith.Town are once again inviting business to enter the Penrith.Town people’s Christmas window display trail and vote.

Penrith.Town will inviting you to vote for your favourite Penrith Christmas window display in the Penrith People's Christmas Window Sparkles award and enjoy the town trail map touring the town’s businesses taking part.

Penrith residents and visitors alike will be invited to participate in the voting for their favourite Christmas display as part of the magic of Christmas in Penrith.

Penrith.Town had made an offer to Penrith Chamber to collaborate after the success of our peoples vote last year but unfortunately the chamber have decided they do not want to work in collaboration.

As a result Penrith Businesses will need to enter both separately again this year.

XMAS SCHEDULE! 🎉
Music to make your ears smile! 🤪

We have reached out to some local talent and they have gloriously agreed to be part of the Xmas Sparkle Team this year! Aren't we lucky, look at this line up!

We aim to get a great mixture plus be as local as possible. We are rife with options in Cumbria! 🙌

The Stage will be back in Market Square opposite the Monument managed by the fab and hosted by the fantastic Ben aka 😎😎

🚫NB: Road closed from Toymasters to the Monument between 6am - 7pm. Northbound A6 open until 3pm. Between 3pm - 7pm Great Dockray, Princes Street and King Street closed to allow Tractor Parade to safely come through. Thanks for everyone's patience and support while we make that happen safely.
