If you're struggling to choose between a legal wedding and the symbolism of a hand fasting ceremony in a glorious location, you can have the best of both worlds!Here are just a few previews of Hazel and David's gorgeous, intimate family elopement, captured by the lovely Having seen that we offer hand fasting ceremonies as part of the BoHo Cornwall Elopement experience, Hazel and David asked us to include this beautiful, symbolic ceremony in their wedding day plans. It was a sparkling sunny day, so after their intimate legal wedding inside the castle, the family gathered in the garden for the tying of their knot 🪢 💕 ✨
During this ancient ritual, a couple’s hands are bound together with cords or ribbons, representing their connection and the blending of their lives, symbolising trust, respect, and the promises made to one another.

"We chose BoHo Cornwall as we were looking for an intimate wedding experience where our young children could be very involved too. We wanted a wedding with all the love but with none of the stress and planning that goes with a typical wedding. This is what we got and everything was perfect from start to finish. We booked with Maya and Tom, who were very responsive and happy to answer any questions we had. Beth, Jay and Martyn hosted our stay at the castle, and put us both at ease as soon as we arrived. They talked us through everything that would happen from the morning of our ceremony until after, then we had the best nights sleep in the castle. The ceremony went perfectly, and the team couldn’t do enough for us! They set out our cake and prepared plates and cutlery for our hamper we’d ordered from Indulgence Catering. We then had time to enjoy the beautiful gardens as a family for the rest of the evening. It was such a lovely, relaxed day.
I’m so incredibly happy with the venue we picked and the experience we had. Thank you Boho Cornwall Elopements and to the team at Pengersick Castle. "

“Good morning Maya and Tom
We really enjoyed our wedding day yesterday. It was absolutely perfect. All the different elements that were involved were so wonderful and suited us very well. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Beth and Claudia were so supportive and friendly and were perfect witnesses and organisers. The castle was such a fabulous unique special setting. We really enjoyed meeting Jay and hearing all about the castle history and recent improvements.

We bought our dog Leia along to the castle with us and everyone welcomed her and made us feel very relaxed. Your recommendations for hair , make up , photography and catering were excellent. Jules, Arianna and Rebecca provided brilliant services and helped make our day very special.

We absolutely adore Keranza sands. What a gorgeous place in an amazing location with spectacular views. We love watching the sea and being so close to the beach and coast path and countryside.
Having the castle so close for the wedding itself makes this a perfect place!

You really have nailed it in terms of an elopement package! We are so happy we found you and decided to go for the 4 night stay. You’ve created a wonderful experience for couples and have made us very happy.

The one where the bride ended up in the hot tub in her wedding dress… 💕💕

It all started very sedately.. Jo and Stephen’s intimate family elopement. A magical ceremony, with each of the kids playing their part in the ceremony.
Then off to the beach for some gorgeous couples and family shots (thanks to the fabulous Arianna Fenton Photography). It was a sparkling winters day and the temptation of a family water fight was just too great to resist! Looks like so much fun 🤩
What better way to warm up than to hop straight into the hot tub back at the beach house…? 🤷🏻‍♀️😄

Their collaboration with the team at Pengersick Castle works seamlessly and we think offers a unique and special experience.

We initially chose BoHo because we didn’t want all the expensive bells and whistles others seem to be mandating for such a small and intimate occasion like stipulating a 3-night minimum stay for example, which we didn’t want.

All in all Tom and Maya will help you deliver your special day along every step of the way the way YOU want it, and they come highly recommended 👍 “

The warm golden glow of the candlelight matched the warmth of the glow in our hearts as we hosted Bobbie and Mark’s intimate winter elopement ☺️❤️
