Happy New Year to all our lovely clients and all the new ones we haven't met yet. Lovely to be roasting for so many weddings in 2024 - a very auspicious year! Bringing in the New Year in Comrie.
Fun day spit roasting a piggy Comrie Croft for DMS - Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland - feeding lots of hungry bikers after their annual meeting. Lots of fancy bikes - could get pretty keen on the grey one!
Can't think of a nicer place to spend a hot, sunny Saturday than at Firbush Outdoor Centre on Loch Tay. Plenty of sailing, surfboarding and swimming to be had. We were roasting a piggy for an annual family party so lots of hungry friendly faces when dinner was served. Thank you so much Stewart family for having us to spit roast a pig for the party again.
It's not often we roast at a wedding where there is quite so much talent but at Dalmally Community Centre on Saturday the ladies put on a fantastic performance of pipes and drums. It was a very special wedding. The hall looked wonderful. There were drinks and canapés in the sunshine while a brass band Saltire Street Band played, a call for dinner on an extraordinary medieval cornet, delicious hog roast dinner - though I say it myself! and then the ladies took it away with the pipe band. Fabulous!
Scouts Jamboree - as you liked my post I thought you might like to see the dancing. It was getting near the end so there was a bit of huffing and puffing!
Very exciting day today at Scone Palace roasting a pig for their Battle Heritage -the Tournament of Destiny day. Mobile Measures were serving mead and drinks to go with our hog roast right next to the action which was thrilling. I hadn't realised they would play that rough. I thought attacking someone from behind was a bit unsporting but as someone quickly reminded me, there's no such thing as sporting in war! The event is going to be even bigger next year and we will definitely be there with lots of sizzling pigs and crackling!
Just had to add video of the drone coming in. First time I've seen one at work.
