Happy day at Comrie Croft's Wee Nosy. Lovely to meet so many engaged couples planning their weddings. So exciting. Piggy roasted up a treat with lots of crispy crackling for all. Thank you for inviting us Comrie Croft.

My goodness, Monachyle Mhor is a glamorous wedding venue these days! The barn looked fabulous when we arrived to do the late spit roast for the wedding party. Sitting at the end of a long glen, overlooking a loch and surrounded by mountains its views are stunning in the daytime (I have had spoiling lunches on the terrace there myself)and the guests from London were more than a little impressed!

Fabulous party thrown by I & H Brown Ltd on Saturday to celebrate 60 years since they started up at Innergask Farm, then an RAF airstrip. 325 guests partied in the glorious sunshine with music provided by Buena Vista, really delicious pizzas from Stielow Pizza Co., scrumptious burgers and sausages from No9 Chef Services and of course our delicious spit roast piggy with lots of crispy crackling Highland SPIT Roasts. There were games and archery, a bouncy castle and foam tub for the kiddies and of course, the stars of the show, the HUGE yellow trucks/diggers/earth movers which you were even allowed to climb into!

We haven't roasted for a 21st birthday party for a while and I had forgotten what fun these parties are. Mark you, this was one if the best with Fingask Castle one if the most glamorous venues. The 70 guests were going for glamour too and looked gorgeous. Great band and disco and considering many of the guests had traveled up from Oxford Uni they took to ceilidh dancing with gusto.
Roast went down a treat, especially the crackling, along with some rather tasty pastries from Mad John Scones. Thanks so much for having us Georgia.🎈

Travelled up into the Aberdeenshire Ulu to roast a piggy for an après wedding BBQ. Good fun with lovely people.

Sneaked up the glen to roast a piggy for a surprise birthday party yesterday. In a few short hours while the birthday boy was out on his bike the garden was transformed into a party venue and then the fun began. The piggy was much enjoyed by all and carefully selected bones were given to 4 immaculately behaved and very appreciative spaniels.

Fun day roasting a piggy for Glenalmond Cricket Match. We were lucky, it rained everywhere except on the pitch! Lots of enthusiastic playing worked up an appetite and a 47kg pig with lots of crispy crackling was demolished in double quick time! So good to see people happily tucking in.
Not much left!

Lovely day roasting a piggy for a romantic wedding at Fingask Castle. We always enjoy roasting in the Amber Room of the pavilion and especially if we are working alongside Regis Banqueting who provided a stunning weddings breakfast. We were doing the late buffet.

Interesting day roasting a piggy for Enterprise Foods Ltd. at Comrie Croft. Wild Hearth Bakery were there with demonstrations of pizza making and a very interesting talk on making sourdough bread. Good fun.

Great day at Cameron Motors spit roasting a piggy for the farewell party for much loved George Malcolm who has been with the company for 37 years. Such a great family atmosphere amongst all the employees, we enjoyed every moment.

Isn't it amazing how sometimes when you are moseying along, happy but a bit repetitive, a day comes along that is so stunningly beautiful that it takes your breath away. Started as usual, loaded up the pig and van at dawn to drive to a 'what3words' location, no postcode, and roast the pig for 5 hours to be ready for lunch. But look at the location! So peaceful in the early morning sun but turning into a scorcher by the time the guests arrived. Then a piano in a horsebox arrived and there was music and dancing and children playing and a wonderful, happy party began. The pig was well appreciated, especially the crackling and a great day was had by all.

Good fun roasting a lamb for a birthday party for 26. Such a happy party, we really enjoyed being part of it. Lucky us to have work we enjoy so much.
