Great day at Cameron Motors spit roasting a piggy for the farewell party for much loved George Malcolm who has been with the company for 37 years. Such a great family atmosphere amongst all the employees, we enjoyed every moment.

Isn't it amazing how sometimes when you are moseying along, happy but a bit repetitive, a day comes along that is so stunningly beautiful that it takes your breath away. Started as usual, loaded up the pig and van at dawn to drive to a 'what3words' location, no postcode, and roast the pig for 5 hours to be ready for lunch. But look at the location! So peaceful in the early morning sun but turning into a scorcher by the time the guests arrived. Then a piano in a horsebox arrived and there was music and dancing and children playing and a wonderful, happy party began. The pig was well appreciated, especially the crackling and a great day was had by all.

Always fun to be at Comrie Croft, this time roasting for 120 glamorous guests at the wedding of Alex and Sean. The sun came out, the barn looked fab, the bride was beautiful and the groom handsome and the speeches were hilarious -what more could one ask? Oh yes, and the spit roast piggy was delicious, though I say it myself but proven by the fact that after all the seconds and thirds there was nothing left, and that was a large pig!

Fun day spit roasting a piggy Comrie Croft for DMS - Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland - feeding lots of hungry bikers after their annual meeting. Lots of fancy bikes - could get pretty keen on the grey one!

Great party at Sellars CLAAS yesterday to celebrate the years Sandy had run the office and workshops in Perth and his retirement. I don't think the worshops had ever sparkled quite so brightly with balloons and decorations. Lots of hungry people tucked into the roast piggy and there wasn't any wastage. A really good day. Congratulations Sandy.

The fun thing about spit roasting is you never know what the party will be. We were told it was a 75th birthday party in Balloch. What we didn't expect was that everyone arrived in wigs! There was Marge from the Simpsöns, Boris, Poldark. Good fun.

Somewhat tempting providence to be sitting outside for five hours roasting a piggy in the current weather but we only had one downpour. Quickly covered all the electrics leaving piggy turning while we ran for cover. Crackling was a bit soggy on our return but a quick flair soon crisped it up again. Great pre-wedding party with a lovely family. So hope you have a beautiful day for the wedding today. Thank you so much for having us to do the roast. It was great to meet you.

Our first spit roast at Wyndham Duchally Country Estate and we were very lucky with the weather as we were roasting on the lawn, protected from the wind by a friendly yew bush and at a safe distance from an impressive but rather savage monkey puzzle. One thing one immediately notices about Duchally is how happy, smiley and helpful all the staff are. We watched them put out tables and chairs and the buffet on the lawn, take them all in again when a shower came over and then put them all out again as the guests decided they would like to eat outside after all, always smiling, laughing and enjoying what they were doing. A great crew. Thanks so much for having us Duchally and for a very happy day.

Sunday morning up at 5am to drive up to the Grassic Gibbons Centre, Arbuthnott to roast a piggy for lunch. Beautiful morning and not much traffic so a pleasure. Interesting gazebo with net sides, perfect for midgey west coast roasts. Sun finally came round to brighten us up. Fun day which we enjoyed. Many thanks for having us to do the roast again for this very special quinquennial event - our thid time!

So pleased to be doing a spit roast for Abi's wedding. Despite an absolute deluge of rain on our arrival we managed to creep into the tipis and set up in time for the piggy to be ready for the wedding breakfast alongside an impressive array of 12 different salads from Stanley Catering, Dundee. The sun did finally emerge in time for people to wander in the gardens. A very happy day. Thank you so much for having us and best wishes for a wonderful life together.

Forecast thunder, lightning and torrental rain for the Glenalmond College Cricket afternoon so we set up the spit roast with some trepidation BUT miracle of miracles, while the skies opened all around us Glenalmond remained warm and sunny, a perfect cricket afternoon.
The piggy spitroasted well and everyone tucked in, especially to the crackling.
Thanks so much Glenalmond for having us. We loved it.

Such a happy day atGleneagles Hotel yesterday spit roasting a piggy for the Am Pro Golf Tournament. We watched mesmerised as the practice barn became a glamorous venue around us, lots of flowers and a truly scrumptious buffet, even Ross, a guitarist softly singing all our favourite songs. We even had flowers in front of us. The guests were hungry and we were amused to see them coming back and back for our crispy crackling. The day was definitely 'a roaring success!'.

Always lovely to be at Fingask Castle. Last day of sunshine before the storms move in tonight so everyone making the most of an après wedding picnic in the grounds. We spit roasted a piggy in the Amber Room of the Pavilion. Lots if fast carving - piggy was ready at 1.30pm and by 1.32pm a queue materialised from nowhere. Such a happy, smiley crowd. A fun day - thank you so much for having us to do the roast and best wishes Kimberley and Rory for a very happy life together.
