How it all started! The first Molecey Mill wedding - Gemma and Tom in 2017.

When Big Glenn and Graham bought the Granary side of Molecey Mill back in 2015 they always planned to live in the coachhouse, hence once they had renovated the Granary they offered it for self catering stays. One of the first couples that came to stay fell in love with the place and got engaged on Owl Island!

It made Big Glenn realise how romantic Molecey Mill is and so the thought of hosting weddings had begun when another guest, Yvonne - Gemma’s mother, said she couldn’t imagine her daughter getting married anywhere else and the rest, as they say, is history.

Now we are so privileged to share in the magic of couple’s wedding day’s and Molecey Mill is alive and bustling as it always meant be.

The Twigge family bible was brought back to Molecey Mill for the Molecey family gathering. The bible records the marriage of Charlotte Molecey to John Twigge in December 1794 and then continues to record over a hundred years of Molecey family births, deaths and marriages in its pages. The Molecey’s came back to the Mill!
25 members of the Molecey family, all descendants of Charles Molecey Twigge Molecey, gathered here at Molecey Mill on 5th and 6th January 2024 to celebrate a family birthday and to spend time in their ancestral home.
