We have a WhatsApp group for the shop. This exact Saturday last year was the one and only time I've ever had to message for help as we were so busy!

When I looked back at the year before (2022) on the same Saturday - the last one in April - that one was busy too. I kind of had it in the back of my mind as today approached but didn't want to say anything out loud.

I asked my Mum if she'd give me a hand for a couple of hours today (just incase it happened for a third year).

And yes! We blinkin did it!!!

One of our best days since the shop opened. So so happy.

Fruity brown sauce, three fruits marmalade and strawberry & rhubarb jam cooked and some delivered to Zero Waste Torfaen. We're sorry for not being back at Abergavenny Market yet but we are still waiting for Jamie to have his hip operation - I'm finding all the lifting and carrying too much to do a weekly market, age catching up with me 🤣

Have a good Christmas and a well deserved break. We still can't believe this ridiculous situation whereby a working farm isn't allowed a genuine farm shop!!! As you know you will be sorely missed, but I'm sure that you will come out the other end fighting fit. A huge thank you for supporting us and the other small local producers - you kept us going through COVID and afterwards. All the very best xx

Well that's a wrap!

Today's photo is of some of the team enjoying the 'last supper' just after we served the last customers at the Farm, Bishton.

We are always very touched by the support we get at Christmas and this year has been no different

It has been a very bitter sweet and emotional weekend as we have closed our doors for the last time at the Farm Bishton and in Newport Market

It has really hit home the past few days after having so many people queuing in our shop and hearing their sadness on our closures

We are going to miss seeing so many people and providing a service that has been well used and loved

But we hold our heads high as we remember what we have achieved and have loved every minute

Don't forget Kingsway will reopen Wed 27th-Saturday 30th for sales on everything

Look out for more information on our eggs and ice cream.

The last thing left is too wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and say a huge THANK YOU to all customers, staff, suppliers, friends and family.
